Just curious do you get emails from Flippa requesting to verify ownership of a domain you own when you're not even listing it there?

I keep getting them but it say hi, someones name other than me. It appears someone keeps trying to add my domain to their domain portfolio.

This has happened more than once and last time I replied and told them it wasn't me trying to list the domain. Wonder why this keeps happening?

You could have the .com and they are trying to list another extension and mistyped it. I've done it before.

I don't own the .com, nor does he, it's a nGTLD. It's a domainer I Googled him, I think this is the second request for this domain to be confirmed to be added to his portfolio over the last several months. I'll email Flippa again and if it continues I guess I'll reach out to him and see if he's doing something over at Flippa to make these requests keep being sent to me.

I'm not sure why it keeps happening...

The only times I had this with flippa was with domainers that didn't change the ownership as soon as they received the domain I sold them (sale in all cases happened on GoDaddy) so all the details along with the registrant's email were my own.

That was some time ago though, I don't use flippa anymore so I wouldn't know if they fixed it

I've been the only person that's ever owned the domain so can't be any confusion there.

I think Flippa told be last time I complained that he probably made a mistake, fine but now it happens again with the same domain.

It's not a really big deal but would like to know why it keeps happening. It could get a bit annoying if it continues. :)
