Hello my name is Brandon,

I decided domain buying/ selling for some side money, and to see if it works. My friends say that I'm good at thinking of band names, so I thought I should give domain selling a shot.

I created vehiclebest.com thinking it would be a legit brand-able name, or the name of a motor magazine ex. vehicle best magazine. Google stats include a lower competition rate, global searches 74,000, local searches 49,500, and the average CPC was $1.44. About 221,000,000 results when typed directly into google. I'm sure with the right parking and optimization it would be worth a good amount, but right now (name as is) I was thinking $175.00.

Any feedback? thank you

BestVehicle.org is available

If there were to be a magazine, then BestVehicleMag.com is available

You've got 2 words out of order. Plus, most people use the word "car" instead of "vehicle".

Since you hand registered this name yesterday, I would say grace delete it while you still can.

Valuation: $0

reg fee-$10

You maybe ok at bandnames but domain names not so good
Plus you sound as if you are very young. Wait a few years and until after finishing school before doing any domaining.

For google adwords stats, change it to exact searches, you have it on broad. Nobody searches for 'Vehicle Best'.

For the competition column, higher is better. That is the amount of people paying advertising dollars for those keywords.

The CPC is also non-existant when on exact.

As for brandability, I'd say it's a miss. It's just two words in the wrong order.

I agree with the grace delete recommendation if still available. Do some more reading on the forum before regging anymore and you'll save $$ in the long run.

If you had "Best Vehicle" then it would probably be worth quite a few times more than $175 even though most people tend to say car...

As it is with the flow of the words it makes little sense.

I would get a grace delete as you will not likely find an end user for it to pay even $50 when there are far superior names available for $10.

I think DJuga is completely wrong in saying that younger people are no good at domaining - I know many people under 21 who have made lots of money doing it!

That being said, I do agree that this domain most likely has no real value by itself. Who's to say how much the domain could be worth developed...

my opinion: Try selling it in the Bargain Bin, or just grace delete.

I don't think he was saying that, just basically get some experience in the world first.

I don't know who you are, I don't know what you want...if you are looking for the big bucks we cannot tell you the best names...

What we do have are a very particular set of skills, skills that we have built up over a very long career, skills that makes us a nightmare for end users everywhere. If you finish school and learn now that will be the end of it, you will gain valuable negotiating skills, you will be able to walk in doors, you will be able to stare down opponents and you will win far more often.

Good Luck.

Sorry, couldn't work out a way to make my movie quote of the day work :p

~~

A grace delete is a period of 5 days or so in which if you make a bad buying decision on a fresh registered domain you can contact the registrar and get them to delete it and refund your money. You will likely lose the money they pay to ICANN but you do get back the majority. It is mostly advised for when people have obvious trademark names.

Anyways, getting back to the point of why I posted, I spent two minutes searching for names just out of curiosity and found a whole slew of available names that are far nicer than this one. I would suggest going back to the drawing board and reading up on topics that will tell you what makes a domain valuable; as well as checking what domains actually sell for decent piles of cash and what grammar format they use :)

I have no problem with people under 21 domaining, I think this person is under 15
Grace delete is a process where registrars can delete and refund your money if name is less than 5 days old.
If you need to ask what it is, than you are too in-experienced to domain.

goto http://gracedelete.com and check out the info

(And yes I do own gracedelete.com )

If he is young he will benefit enormously from the young domainers section of the forum, I have never been in there so can only guess at its contents.

Im 22 and the grace delete is a success. Everyone starts somewhere, and I know for a fact we all take a loss or 2 it's a part of life.

Is there any (guides/tips/resources)websites that will benefit me in choosing a valuable domain.

thank you
