Wheels is largely understood as any vehicle with an engine and wheels:motobikes,cars,trucks.
The Australians have the motor sport magazine Wheelsmag,for example.I intend to use this name for development of a survey site for motor vehicles,with comparisons ,prices,features,etc.What do you think?Thanks in advance for your opinions.The big plus I see in the name is its branding potential and the fact that it explains itself.The searches figures do not bother me because the site itself in this case will have to generate traffic and keyword searches.

Hey Optimal, the name seems awkward to me. WheelShopping sounds more natural and when using the plural most people would say "shopping for wheels". Development could help this, but something just doesn't sound right when I say it aloud. Also, WheelShopping//com is taken and in use as a seller of wheels...could run into some legal trouble there, but hard to say as this is relatively generic.

You should call the guys in Australia and tell them to call themselves "magazine about wheels" because that is the natural use of the word.(NOT WHEELSMAG).The coments are a little bit MICROGUYISH I would say.

Wheels is plural if you think about a wheel,but a singular (which happens to end with ans S)if you think about a vehicle as explained above.I understand very well the point but I just do not agree at all.

The double "S" suckss,it does sound awkward,and i guess who owns wheel shopping.com didnt see it being worth reg'ing to protect their name.I wouldnt reg this name,of course you can develop and promote it and do very well.

As for trademark issues do they own the trademark or?if not I would trademark it and wipe them off the map.

I saw vehiclesshopping and carshopping and all the bunch,and after deep reasearch I liked best Wheelsshoping and I still do.The reason being that the most generic and sexy name is wheelsshopping and no other.I would't reg vehiclesshoping because vehicleshopping is the right one and is taken.Good luck.

It's not worth much but I'd recommend developing it - MasterOfMyDomains' idea with the double 'S' has some merit. I'm also visualizing tire tracks on the S's. Somehting to think about.
