Hey everyone,

I’ve invested in a portfolio of domains with extensions like .online, .store, .shop, etc., but I’m feeling completely stuck. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Ads Parking: Unfortunately, it hasn’t brought in any significant traffic or revenue.
  • Afternic Listing: I’ve listed all my domains on Afternic, but I’m getting little to no impressions, let alone sales.
  • Outbound Marketing: I also did personal outreach by email, but it’s been pretty quiet.
Starting to question if these were the wrong extensions to invest in. Has anyone here had success selling domains with these newer extensions?

Looking for any advice, strategies, or tips that could help with sales – maybe a different marketplace, a sales strategy, or ideas on how to boost visibility. Or should I consider these a bad investment and move on?

Thanks in advance for any guidance or insights!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The mistake you've made is quite usual for newbies - you invested in anything rather than dot com. ''Hey, it's easy to get!'' Well, guess what - the demand for them is next to zero, on the other hand. Something might sell, but to understand what exactly you should know what sells in com. Only after, with that experience you can enter another tlds pool.

I have around 70 .shop myself ($1 each, bought 9 months ago), and I knew that kind of names in com would be selling like hot cakes - still no one wants them in .shop, even for lower $XXX )

So, my advice - let them all expire and start all over with dot com )

Depends on the strength of the SLD.

These extensions do sell, but only the best names and mostly at a low STR.
