.tv Famous People .TV?

Hi

Are famous people's name's .TV something to ignore or are they worth the reg fee? Is there any potenial?

Also, what about dashes in .TV domains. Like domain-name.tv. Again are they worth the reg fee for some highly searched words?

I think you should ignore famous peoples names for Trademark reasons, they are not worth the hassle.

As for names with dashes i think they are a waste of money though i know there is a few members here who would disagree if they are for 2 high overture word combos.

I would agree with mckennaronnie, although there are fans sites using peoples name.EXT it is a bit of a minefield so best left alone.

Generally the .Com gets traffic. The .TV would not. No point in developing it because they may take it after you put in hard work. Oh, one other thing avoid buying .tvs with dashes. THere are many posts about this. Do an advanced search, .TV hyphen, you will see that the consensus says NO dont register them.
