I have went over this list many times and have changed them around a couple of times but I believe this is my final answer in order of importance to me. Money is not a factor here, whether it is a $13.00 Reg Fee .tv, or a $10,000 .tv domain, what does your list look like?

Since Posting this O.P. there have been a lot of category submissions that are important to everyone in their own individual .tv Portfolio's.

My 1st choice goes to cool catchy dictionary words which can serve as nice umbrella names.

3) Internet Related.tv (FreeTemplates.tv, Upload.tv, etc.)

A little bit of a different style between you and I, but ya know whats funny?
I kept debating on placing the Geo.tv at the top or the bottom of my list.

In retrospect I probably should have put mine on the bottom too since I dont do Premiums,
so the only Geo's I have are smaller city/towns...
and I know too well, Ya only get what you pay for

I agree with your first four of theDotStop but clash violently with Argos. LOL! Just shows how subjective and personal these things are.

Geo’s are number 1 to me because there is only one London or New York, but following in a close number 2 are products because I can’t think of a better way of selling something like a motorhome or boat (other than sitting in one with the salesguy) than watching its many features being described on the screen.

Strangely, the names I own that have caused the most stir are the brandables I created for my own purposes.

Yeah,
I like to have fun with brandables but unfortunately there are still better reg's out there so I don't have too many of them right now.
You need to have development plans in mind with brandables.
Although, If you create the right one, Cha-Ching!

but I believe that even foreign .tv domain spellings will fall into one of these 8 categories, ya know?

I just tried my best to cover all bases.

I used the names that I have for illustration purposes.

I think that it begins with the visual connotation of the extension itself, so I place TV type show names at the top as it makes sense to start with that niche.

1) TV Show type name.tv (MovieoftheWeek.TV, PlayoftheGame.tv, SquaredCircle.tv, etc.)*
2) Brandable.tv (MyTVon.tv, HitsOn.tv, etc.)
3) Geo.tv (SaudiArabian.tv, Dubaian.tv, ChicagoEvents.tv, etc.)
4) Product.tv (AmericanHybrid.tv, Wino.tv, etc.)
5) Dictionary Word.tv (Appropriate.tv, Quaint.tv, etc.)
6) Self Help/Health.tv (DietFoods.tv, HomeCooked.tv, YogaWorld.tv, etc)
7) Service.tv (instrucciones.tv, etc.)
8) Internet Related.tv (WebTwo.tv, etc.)

I also agree with Ammudamus that the foreign language names should not be ignored...

and let's toss in playful names(gambling and vacation, eg.)

Early on, I made an error in not picking up some of the larger geos, and as such, it does not play a significant role in my portfolio - but honestly, I think a quality portfolio should carry a few good geos. By 'significant event' I am not referring to the tragedies we hear of, school shootings, etc. I am thinking more globally, like a war, maybe a period of history, etc.

In a few of these threads I noticed you have quite a few domains ending in "Z" as opposed to "S".
I'm not familiar with that being popular, Is that a European thing? or is it maybe just a kindof brandable way you Reg?

For brandablity reasons and to keep my portfoliia congruent I dabble with "Z's" and the # "24" often. The 24 I see alot in Europe. The Z's thats just a quirk I have. It started a few years ago with GiGZ.tv I liked it way better than GiGs with an s for some reason it was way more rock n rolly. if yeah know what I mean. Im sporten about 25 or so with Z's these dayZ. I was thinken real estate for service industry but I really thought it should be its own catagorie for me, cause thats how i make a big chunk of my income.

I like "Z" at the end of domains, I have a few .com's w/"Z" as an ending.
In all actuality it IS exactly the same sound as the plural "S".


And, Thx for the info on seeing the "24" a lot in Europe. I had no idea.

Im not really making money of the doTV real estae's them selves what they do is levarge my video production against other videogrphers who have no wher to put content.. it works well and gets me jobZ and in the end pays for it self and a LiL more.

keyword + 24 or HD , i name, like RealEstateHD, Sport24 , NewsHD.TV ,iAdult.TV,iCooking.TV

another portion are also the product names like 4k2k.TV or CarStore.TV

or just strong kyewords like StockExchange

I have reg. a quite big partof my portfolio in adult DNs like AdultHD.TV , PornHD.TV CamHD.TV etc.

or I just combination all of these , the name must have always some attraction ,appetit (.TV) for me !
