Expired domain (I think ?!?) registration

Hi,

OK, I'm a bit of a newbie, so be gentle! There's a domain that I would like to register for myself: a who.is search shows the following info:

Registrar:
GX Networks Ltd t/a 123-Reg.co.uk [Tag = 123-REG]
URL: http://www.123-reg.co.uk

Relevant dates:
Registered on: 07-Mar-2007
Renewal date: 07-Mar-2009

Registration status:
Renewal required.
*** This registration has been SUSPENDED. ***

Now, when I do a domain name search, it shows as unavailable, even though the renewal date is long past (it's now 01-May-2009, and the renewal date is 07-Mar-2009).

So, what gives? How come the domain can't be registered, even though the renewal date is around 8 weeks ago?

there is a long process expire domain is going before he become avilable

Since it's a .co.uk it will drop around 90 days after expiry date.
