just wondering when testing keywords in Googles tool how many exact searches would be acceptable before a domain is worthwhile to purchase?

500, 1000? 10,000?

There's no exact number, and especially if you are planning on developing the content is most important, although I'd say that 500/1000 is about a good level.

That's all? I have found a lot of decent keyword pairs with like 2-6k exact searches. Should I be going for those or hold out for something like 20k exact searches? Or is that even enough?

Thanks for your input...

I understand that there's no exact number but surely when you guys are doing research before buying a domain you have some sort of personal standard.

So for example, if you are not planning on developing a site, you just want to resell the domain and maybe make a little income from parking before it sells, would you think there is value in hand regging a 2 word domain with ~3000 exact searches?

I know that every decision is situation-specific, but I'd really appreciate any sort of further input on this.
