EUPUNDIT blogspot/.EU fraud/Letter to Price Waterhouse Coopers

Read this to get insight into the extent of the .EU fraud
http://eupundit.blogspot.com/2006/01/eurid-eu-domain-whois-page.html

To get some answers I have sent the following letter to PRICE WATERHOUSE COOPERS in Belgium. They are the company that is handling the "Validation" process on behalf of EURID.

Dear sir/madam
Perhaps you are already aware of the countless allegations being made on
many domain name related forums and in the press about the apparent
largescale fraudulent applications being made for .eu names and that it
seems many top generic names are thus going to people or companies who dont really have a right to them. The following blog details that very
specificly. Please read it and give your comments on this.
http://eupundit.blogspot.com/2006/01/eurid-eu-domain-whois-page.html
Are these allegations groundless? A reply would be appreciated as this
is part of an intensive debate on various large domain name forums and
I shall post your reply to this question there.
Thank you very much for taking the time to address our concerns.

Will keep you posted if I get a reply.

I work for a company not a million miles from pwc and I would eat my mouse if you get a reply.

There is also a very large difference between Fraud and systems weaknessed - so be careful what terminology you use.

Fraud - someone intentionally deceiving the system for monetry gain
System weakness - errors with the system in the first place which mean applications are not fraudulent - it's just a bad system!

I said"apparent fraudulent applications" That does not imply anything about PWC at all..only the "apparent" fraudulent applications from some applicants.
I said nothing about PWC practising anything fraudulent at all. Anyway I am not accusing anyone- just voicing my concerns based on the article to which I included the link and asking if the fears that it evoked for me because of that article and the discussions on this forum concerning that topic are groundless.
If they dont reply that would be sad. We'll see.

I was just offering advice. Nothing intended to accuse you of aiming your comments at anyone.

It's all love here :xf.love:

I really really REALLY hope they reply. :)

I doubt they'll have any satisfactory answers. Seems like this whole thing is just massive incompetency. Good luck anyway.

Fingers crossed for a reply (and for cjcjcj to eat his mouse) :D
