.EU and Prior rights on a domain

Hello,

I'm considering applying for a .EU domain name on this sunrise 1 period.

If I have a limited company that is called "Bob & Fred" ... If the domain name "Bobfred.eu" is not yet applied for and I am at the top when I decide to apply... is it likely that it will be accepted?

Because that people are getting domains with their names when their "Prior right" has an '&' sign in the middle... For example the person with prior rights to "Li & ve" on Sunrise 1 got in first, and got the name Live.eu instead of microsoft!

I just don't want to apply and find that all of my money is a waste!

Thanks

- Luke :)

You can try. But PWC will see, are you right or not! :)
You can read about ADR procedure in case of conflicts with MS ;)

Looking for experience from members that have applied for .EU domains...

It looks like your request could be accepted.
If there are no previous applications for the same name you should be lucky.
There are no guarantees that you will be granted the name so there is still a remote likelihood that you might lose the sunrise fee (EUR 100 or so).
