.tv Enom Email Suggestion Form

I recently emailed the following suggestions to [email protected]. I thought I would post it here. Maybe we could start a petition and hopefully they will follow these suggestions. If you agree with these please email it to the above address. Let's build a grass roots effort to get .tv the attention it deserves. Here's the email:


Dear Sirs,

I honestly believe .tv has the potential to become just as big as .com provided your company makes the following changes:

1. Do away with your excessive premium domain fees. Reduce them to something reasonable like $50/year. Allow existing premium domain registrants to begin renewing their domains at this new fee.

2. For the remaining premium .tv domains not currently registered, I recommend auctioning them off to the highest bidder.

3. I recommend that your company gives (yes, gives) .tv domains away to major corporations especially media companies. Encourage these companies to begin using their .tv domain as their primary domain name. For example, abc.tv, fox.tv, espn.tv and so on. This would give .tv more exposure and cache'.


I believe that following the above recommendations your company and the .tv tld will see much greater success.

I personally think every regular member on this board should be allowed to get a crack at one premium .tv domain before any auctioning is done.

This could be capped within reason, (for example, at any premium domain under $1000-$2000), but the amount of energy, patience and money spent on .tv domains in this forum appears to be quite significant, and I feel it should be rewarded.

Perhaps the moderators who know this forum well could create a list of individuals worthy of getting a crack at one premium before launch.

Well First off Premium regs are not going away so that is just a pipe dream, Verisign still owns DOT TV Enom is just running the retail side.

I would never support auctions and don't believe they will be happening anyway.

Names like Fox/ Espn/ abc/ amc/ vs/ tnt/ lifetime/ cnn/ TBS/MTV/ MLB/ Some redirect to the .com some use the .tv these have all been regged for a long time so that nothing new and nothing to give away for free, already regged
