You can try ebay when selling your weak or average domain names ~ those in the low $XX to low $XXX range.
If you have a good domain, eBay is probably not the best place to get the price you want.

I'm no ebay friend. The 2 domains I posted recently there got in 6 days not even 50 visitors each. May be my listings were to plain. But makes not much sense to invest in expensive listings, when your domains have just an average value.

Avoid eBay for Domain Name Sales

eBay is a loser when it comes to selling domain names. You'll just get stuck with high insertion fees to get noticed and then nobody wants to pay you what you think it's worth.

I sold some crap domains/sites for $300-$350 and I sold some good domains/sites for $25. It's basically a crap shoot what they will end up going for. I usually list some less popular domains just to get rid of them, but even then, you run the risk of no one seeing the auction.

I generally avoid Ebay, unless it is a pretty bad domain that I just want to get rid of rather than renew. Having said that I would still rather sell these sorts of domains through this forum for a few NP$ :)

All the best.

See this thread http://namepros.com/showthread.php?t=148556

I also stay away from ebay, i just find it much more satisfying to do it on a forum and properly interact with the buyer and converse about the price etc..
Ive also had lots of bad experiences with Ebay which doesnt help my confidence.

I hate to admit it, but I like Ebay for mostly buying. I love getting names (junk) for 99 cents and they have 9-10 months left on them. I then park them or develope and most of the time I get my $ back and then some. A few I have re-regged because they did well. Now when i say well...it means it will pay the reg costs and then some more.

I got the following for under $2.00:
1TB.net
Eimage.us
sercureimagehost.com
brewguy.com
gamecheatforum.com
dumbfart.net
ipodcafe.net

Just to name a few.....

How do you transfer the site to the buyer?

I am with 1&1 -- I did a basic search on NP for forum discussion (briefly looked) and I read FAQ with 1&1. Could not find a definite answer.

Thank you!
