Nevertheless, it significantly impacted my workflow. The message on their home page said, "scheduled maintenance". Dynadot goes down for 'scheduled maintenance' a little too often, far more than any other registrar I've seen. And the drop hour is not the time for scheduled maintenance!
It was around 10 minutes, which is a very long time during the critical 60 - 75 minutes of the drop.
No registrar should schedule maintenance during the drop hour. It's just not professional, and I'm sure it affected a great deal of users who rely on Dynadot.
I'm not sure it's actual maintenance they're performing when they show that.
A while ago when there were all these .co promos I got the message a lot. It usually showed for under a minute and made me think it's more likely they couldn't handle the load and this is their default 'error' message.
We are sorry about that, our site would not usually be taken down for maintenance during drop times and the team have been reminded of that to ensure it doesn't happen again.
