Hi

Wanted to see how I transfer a domain on Dynadot. And tried to unlock a domain in order to click on change account. But it says its on auction lock for 18 days since ive received it from the auction

Does that mean I cant sell this domain in the first 18 days? Thats really weird.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks

Yes, auction lock will be there.
I too had faced this.
Once it's unlocked, you will be able to move the domain.

Yes, it's a weird rule.
I don't know the exact reason.
Enom too has such kind of rules.
I even asked Dydnadot to remove this lock for one of my domain but they denied.

Domains won from our auctions are placed under an auction lock for 15 days from the date the domain is moved to your account, it isn't possible for us to remove this lock unfortunately, however our system will automatically remove the lock once the 15 days are over and you would then be able to transfer or sell the domain. There's some more information on this here:

What does it mean when a domain is in "auction lock" status?

The auction lock is in place to allow our team to check for potential fraud and shill bidding.
