Are there dropcatch services that do not list the domain for public auction.

Private auction : Domain is auctioned only to two or more persons who have placed backorder.

Public auction : Domain auction is made available to everyone, including to persons who did not place the backorder.

OR even better, are there dropcatch services that allow only one person to backorder.

All of them. They go into private auction with only those who bid. :)

But, none worthy of using. The ones that Pheenix grabs, I noticed you'll usually save some money over NameJet and SnapNames.

Good luck.

NameCatch.org is the only service which caters to first submissions and strictly NO AUCTIONS!

What if backorder failed on Name or DomainMonster?? Do they give refund?

Domainmonster only charges after they catch the name. Name.com automatically refunds if they miss.

Thanks.. If you guys are sure then I will go for it.. Which one is good as per your experience?

name.com and domainmonster rarely catch any of the highly sought after domains. They're typically only good for domains that receive just a couple of backorders at the major dropcatchers.

@Mr.Natwarlal I agree with @discobull , I have used both only once, but as both charge later or refund, no harm in covering your bases. I would suggest adding GD to it also.

P.S I had used them so long ago, I almost forgot details about both! Please check latest on their sites.
