Thorstein Porscke certainly owns some great domains - but I can't find anything with regards to a video production company. Seems very "domainy" to me. It looks good and all but I didn't find a single channel with anything on it.

Interestingly enough I had asked who owned Prime.TV a couple of months back and no one seemed to know.

Came across Tibet.tv, Nepal.Tv, Thailand.Tv, Patong.Tv and a couple more Geo .Tvs - looks like all of them are owned by the same person/group. They look like minisites but each one has plenty of followers on Twitter.

I think so too although it reminds me the former Online.tv network. Prime.tv is a network of channels that are that are currently up for development. It seems they are often adding new (pretty good) names to their list of future projects. I believe Prime.tv will form soon a huge network, guess this will not be just an... empty empire !

Empty empire or empty promise? It costs a lot of money to develop a channel in the manner they imply. To do this over a 100 times?

What about their FAQ...and Blog...Let's check it out. "We are investigating which CMS to use?"
If your intention is to be a huge online TV network - I would have thought you'd have some partners, some content, a distribution PLATFORM before "going live". Are we always going to fall for the "Coming Soon"...really? A channel on LuxuryHomes, Male Fashion, Wildlife, Decor etc etc ALL coming soon?!?

Yeah. It "looks" good. I don't put much stock in it. Check out dreamlevel.com - same guy, same promises of "lots to come".

If you're one of those who believes a vibrant development community will make or break your portfolio then why not focus on people that have content and actually USE their site. The guy has a fantastic portfolio of names, the ability to make a slick looking site... but where's the content? There's none.

Thought I'd save Snoop the effort.

Huge projects take a lot of planning - careful planning. It also goes under the name Project Management. In todays world you just don't throw a website out there and work on a day by day basis. From a dev's point of view, planning, finding functional solutions and executing is what counts.

If you make one fatal mistake without having the potential investors to cover a big mistake, like lets say a bad "backbone" (CMS) in such a large network, the adventure has more than likely ended before it even had a chance to get started.

Give it some time and the content will come.

I consider putting up 90 channels of zero content a fatal mistake. Just my opinion (unless you're a domainer with no real intent to set up a global online video company).

I don't understand why that would be a fatal mistake. Would you rather see the links parked with a boring sedo logo?

It's a free showcase of what's to come. Why hide all channels in a dark until the day they're launched? All promotion in this case is good promotion.

Do you think Argos would've noticed Prime.TV if 1 or 2 channels were listed or some crappy 2 page website was put up to introduce what's to come? Probably not.

Then again, that's just my two cents
