Again, redirected to the .COM ... we should probably only include unique, stand-alone, developed .TV's as meaningful ".TV sightings" IMHO. :gl:

I completely disagree.

If you want to argue the merits of meaningfully developed .tvs, yeah. The criteria cited in this forum is usually pretty weak.

Still, I don't think a relevant end-user utilizing a .tv name as a branding device is meaningless. To the contrary, it's quite meaningful. They just as easily could've used .com, but they elected to use a .tv and re-D. That is pretty meaningful.

This artist won the "German Superstar" tv show and he's pretty popular in germany. I think it's pretty interesting to note that SONY chose the .tv extension (WITHOUT forwarding it to a .com or .de) to promote the artist!

The fact that this even has to be said out loud makes me want to run shrieking from the room and hide under my bed. The only sensible uses for .tv are for niche video and branding. I've done dozens of .tv domains and several sites, and all of the money has consistetly fallen on end users grabbing keywords and catch phrases in the .tv extension for branding.

Very good to see that the official website is a .tv
