Today I receive an email to: [email protected]
Its weird because I've never set any dot name email account and register any lastname.name domin name.
How can I receive email sent to [email protected], who did create this email and how can it be sent to me (knowing my exact name and first name)

It' maybe a scam or phishin, maybe all email sent to this adress is also sent to someone else.

How to ask the person to remove my name....

I tried the whois but no results.

How could you receive the email if you never set the address up?

EDIT: I suck at typing; I'm sorry about that!

You need the full header information. Its sounds very much like junk to me or a specific phish which is worse

Yes that's why I m really surprise. I've check the source code of my email to see if it wasn't just hidding my actual email and not at all, I've double check all my email account on my computer and no dot name.

The fisrt email I've receive is from JanRain.com. According to their message they provide dot name and technology I really don't understand.

I tried to test and send message to [email protected] and Yes I receive it each time.

Here is a part of Janrain message:
Greetings,

This has been a busy month for us here at JanRain, the operators of myOpenID and .Name OpenID. We launched a full-suite of hosted OpenID solutions to enable websites to quickly and easily accept OpenID users or issue branded OpenIDs to their customers. You can read more about them here. We also re-launched our corporate website, JanRain.com, which now contains information on all our products, an OpenID Info center, and a comprehensive section just for developers. We hope you are continuing to use and benefit from your .Name OpenID for all your personal OpenID needs and thanks again for using our service.

Perhaps they want to get used to it, giving it out to your colleagues and then bye bye or give money
