I checked my Godaddy's account manager, and looked at the renewal price for my domains ( they expire in like 8 months, was just wondering )

And I suddenly saw that the renewal cost for all domains is like $60-70 each.

Is this how much it costs to renew a domain??
I thought it's supposed to be like $15

..it's supposed to be less than $9 for .com at domainer friendly registrars
like Namesilo, Dynadot, Epik, Namebright etc

simply move your domains there before they expire and stop overpaying :)

Do you have TLD or gTLD as some domains cost a lot more than dot com.

I think your going to need more than a few domains to get cheaper renewals at godaddy. You can buy into the domain club to get it which is worth it.

$60 - $70 for .com renewals? Did you also order SSL or anything else with each Domain Name? Or is your default renewal period more than 1 year?

I think the GoDaddy .com renewals are about $15/year (no toher services ordered such as Privacy, SSL, hosting, etc...).

You can purchase their product called "Domain Discount Club" to reduce it to $8.49 per .com per year. But you have to check if you come out ahead after the fee for the "Domain Discount Club"

HINT: There's usually a coupon you can find to help reduce the cost of the Domain Discount Club fee...

That seems a lot for .com renewal to me. Various options exist for less than $10 even not invoking any special restricted or coupon offers. As others have mentioned Epik (if your account is designated as NP member), NameSilo, Dynadot, and Porkbun are among the registrars who offer good service and competitive prices on renewals (I use all of them except Porkbun and nothing but positive experiences with all of them - I do plan to try out Porkbun as well soon).

In case you don't already know of this, look at the transfer and renewal costs at various registrars using one of these great resources.
Alternatively, it may be worth your while to consider DomainCostClub. You pay a membership but after that you get wholesale rates. Do keep in mind that their clearly stated prices do not include the $0.18 ICANN fee per domain per year, and also most ways you pay (PP, credit cards) at DomainCostClub invoke an extra 5% charge. I use their service and find it convenient and a good way to get consistently good rates across TLDs in one place.

Best of luck finding a good rate. It is easier than you might think to transfer domain names and usually it can all be done in a few hours, so if you have many domains the effort is worth it.

I just checked and the GoDaddy renewal fee should be $17.99 for .com.

Without any discounts etc...

Twice as much as everywhere else, at least, for competitive registrars (unlike GoDaddy).

Somebody is pulling your chain. At that price, they must be including something else in the price.

If these are .com domains. The highest you will pay at NameSilo is $8.99 each, which includes everything for free which GoDaddy charges more for (ie Privacy).

To have your own account manager, you need, what is it 200 or 300 domains. You should ask your account manager to justify this price, when individual renewals are $17.99 (according to Fancy.Domains).

Even at $17.99, I'd start moving all my domains out. You could also buy the Domain Discount Club, which would be very economical, and give you sub-$9 renewals.

Use another registrar like Epik. Ask for domainer pricing ($8.49 for .com) no club required.
