Be careful when purchasing any domains originating from a domaindiscover.com account! I just found out the hard way that to change the legal registrant owner to yourself from the original registrant costs $25 USD. I recently bought a domain from a NP'er that was registered in domaindiscover, the "push" went smoothly. However, when I logged into my account I was surprised to find the legal owners name was still the person I bought it from! So, I followed the steps to change legal ownership to my name and... oh it costs $25, the seller neglected to tell me this.

So my advice, stay away from DomainDiscover.com - Another funny thing with them is that once you create an account to even have a domain pushed to you, you must give the person pushing you the domain your password, this is ridiculous.

That is the kind of thing that should be disclosed by the seller... Good to know, but that speaks poorly of the seller, :imho:

I agree, unfortunately I exchanged trader rating too quickly without noticing this.

Hidden fees are never a fun thing. My advice would be to contact the seller and let him know what happened and see if he would be willing to give you $10-$15 in return for this.

Save the $25 and transfer to another registrar. :bingo:

Simply ridiculous. I don't know how they plan to stay in business...
Only grabbing drops...

Their prices and policies are outrageous. The sooner you transfer out, the better!

They're a legacy registrar leftover from NameMedia's purchase of BuyDomains. I'm not sure who owns them but obviously don't expect much in the way of service of price competition. The best domainer registrar's are eNom and Fabulous.
