Domain Research Tool on Windows 7

Hi,

Is anyone successfully using Domain Research Tool on Windows 7?

I keep getting the error message "Unexpected error when attempting to load a domain file. Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I suspect it has something to do with the .NET 1.1 Framework not being compatible with Windows 7. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

I am having the same issue and emailed Luc but didn't get a reply. For me, DRT still works, you just have to close out the "error message" every time it keep popping up! Annoying really, but at least it still works.

I don't know DRT but DomainPunch works well on Windows 7. It also works under Wine on Linux (but not sold as such). Support is good too.

I was just thinking about buying DRT. Been using a simple perl list sort for keywords and manually appraising... Running 7 on my new laptop, so would like to hear how this turns out.

For anyone who's interested, I'm now using Windows XP Mode to overcome this issue and it's working fine so far.

You'll probably need AT LEAST 2GB of RAM to use it.

I talked with Luc today so he in now at least aware of the problem. He said it works fine in Windows 7 Ultimate, but I have the Home Premium 64-bit which is displaying the errors.

I will post any updates as they come in.
