I saw there are some older threads on the Domains Research Tool. But I was wondering if anyone is currently using it and what your thoughts are?

I got it a couple weeks ago and have been disappointed to say the least as it does not seem to work as it is advertised and when you contact customer support you get no reply.

Anyway just wondering what others experiences are?

Thanks

I use it daily. To me it is a must have tool for sorting lists as well as portfolio tracking.

Yes, it does have issues though, and getting a response from customer support is next to impossible.

My experiences are the same as you - is quite a buggy piece of software and support doesn't reply at all.

It's decent when you use it simply for scanning a large list for if they are available or not, but its proxy list doesn't seem to be updated anymore meaning that it's very hard to scan for the better stats like overture, PR, backlinks, etc.

I'd say it'd be a good buy for $10, but not for the $70 (or whatever) it's currently being sold at.

I use it everyday to filter out large lists of drop domains / track my portfolio and domains I may be interested in purchasing later on down the road. I do feel it's a bit over priced but the developers seem to have a new update every week that tends to fix some minor issues. Never used the customer support however.

I also like it's ability to instantly import dropped domain lists from specific registrars or click on the available names now list. So far I've been pleased with it for the most part.

I use it frequently, but its used as a tool to sort lists and dig through metrics. You need to have something to use it on, rather than expecting it to find gems for you.

Domain Research Tool was created to find domains with type-in visitors, search engine traffic, backlinks, PageRank, Alexa™ rank, whois details and more. It can also auto-appraise domains using user specified formulas, send bulk automated offer e-mails, track your current auctions, monitor important domains, filter incredibly large domain lists and zone files and much, much more. All with full multiple proxy support

To use this or that tool I suppose you need to be sure what would you like to make research for. I suppose that is very important to understand what you are searching for

I've used this tool at my friend's computer few weeks ago, but i haven't find it very useful... i think Estibot Pro is very similar or even better for something.. i mean for statistics and informations, not for an estimation, of course.
