Hi,

I was wondering what success you’ve had with Search engines when you’ve built a site with the “Exact” Keyword match.
I’ve heard it doesn’t matter what the extension is, be it .com or .info – if you’ve got creditcards.info or creditcarddeals.com – the exact .info will be more favourably looked upon by the SE’s
I was just wondering if this is rumour or whether these are your experiences as well, as I’m thinking of developing Cash.biz and Names.biz, and it’s always nice if you can start a little bit ahead of the field.

Thanks for any comments

I did this test recently, and you reminded me to take a look at the results ;)

A fresh registration of WhiteLabelDropshipper_com
and a SEO unfriendly frame page with some metas 3 weeks ago.
I only set up 3 links within some other sites to get indexed.
Today a friend of mine posted the url in a blog

Results so far arround 20 uniques/day from G00... & Co. for dropship related terms.
arround 5/day for the exact Term white label dropshipper with Goo being #1

lets see how this looks in 4 weeks ....

Having exact keywords gives you an advantage over other people targeting those keywords that don't have an exact match. With that said, you will still need to work on link building and practice the latest SEO techniques to truly compete. You aren't given front page search engine position necessarily based on the URL (though for keywords with low competition, you could park the page and sometimes still make the first page of search results).

And you are correct, as a search engine doesn't care what TLD you use. That only matters to humans visiting your site from memory by typing into the address bar.

I do believe the domain names - as they relate to the content of the website - (unsure of .TLD) are a component of the Google algorithm, IMHO. :gl:
