Does anyone know how one can find out what he/she is currently ranked in various search engines?

I know it is easy to determine if you are in the top 50 or not, but is there a way to find out what specific # you are ranked?

Example: http://www.dandydomain.com
Search Term = domain name service
Rank = 1456

I am using this as an example only. Just wondering if someone can provide some insight.

Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I have not seen a site showing ranking more than 100 (my site shows up to 50) as most people will not go past the 5th page of a search engine result. :)

Well if you know approximately where your site is at on one search engine (Yahoo or Google) you can use this tool. Its pretty cool because it draws a line for you. But you kinda have to know where your at:

Try Alexa.com. It isn't horribly accurate, but it should give you a rough number.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check into each suggestion. BTW - I received 5 replies to this thread and just received one email notification. Just a heads up to the mods and to RJ. This is a recurring problem that I have from time-to-time. Never seem to get my notification emails.

Do you have a Spam Filter set up? Sometimes if you are sent several e-mails from the same adress with the same subject only one gets through.
