Hello Everyone,

I'm not sure if this has been discussed here or not, or if this is even the right place to ask this question - but here goes.

I have a collection of very good names that I've been saving up for a long time (intellectual property). I often think about how certain companies could create a product, etc. from the domain name that I have. How would you go about approaching a large corporation and pitching the idea to them?

Also for generic domain names (i.e. socks.com, etc.) how would you pitch/target the domain name to companies and make them aware that you have a good generic domain available?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The first part is not so easy - It's more likely a big company will come up with its own name/brand and then find out if the domain is available or for sale.

If you have good/old generic dictionary one word .com's that get direct type in traffic then all you really need to do is post them here, sedo, afternic, great domains etc and they will probably be people lining up with a full range of offers for them.

What generic names have you got ? :)

Most of the real generics are not .com TLD (i.e. fuel.sc > tour.sc > invest.sc) - but I do have some .com gems that are dictionary words (and short too)...

I can send you a list of all my names, that might be easier... just let me know.

You may want to list your names here, its hard to comment without this.
