I won a domain name on an auction in Snapnames yesterday noon. Domain was paid immediately.
On afternoon I received the email for Transfer of Registration. I accepted the transfer and put the domain on my name, address, etc.
I changed the DNS as well. The domain started to resolve to my webhosting in a few minutes.
I checked whois on internic.com and whois.sc and it was updated correctly to my info a couple hours after.

Today I tried to access to the domain and I saw it was not resolving, I thought was something with my webhosting, but I went to my account in Register.com and the domain is not there! The domain is gone!

If I check the domain with their whois, it is appear as "not found". But if I try to register it, it says it is taken, of course.
If I whois on whois.sc they still show my name/address, etc and my DNSes (I guess it is cached). In internic.com they are showing my DNSes.
This domain was got without going to the full deletion cycle, because the agreement between register.com and snapnames. It preserves the original registration date.

I don't know if this is a domain hijack or what, the domain was not even that great.
I tried to logout and login again to see if somehow it now appears (enom seems to need this sometimes), but no luck.
Have something similar happened to you?

Snapnames registers the domain for you and you have to manage and/or transfer it away from the selected registrar. They seem to have some weird ones but you should have gotten and email from Snapnames with the link to manage the domain. It sometimes takes a day to get this email, so if you don't have it today, you might want to contact them.

The link will look like http://manage.snapnames.com and you will use the same userid and password as you do for Sanpnames.

Good Luck!

I did receive the link. I changed the ownership. I changed DNS. The domain was already resolving serving a "coming soon" page.
It was listed in my account in register.com. Today is missing.
They have not responded yet.

Sorry my response wasn't helpful! Let me know how this works out since I have about 6 domains sitting over there at the moment. I was under the impression that you had to leave them with their selected registrar for 60 days before moving them out! I didn't question it since I thought that the auction price included the reg fee for one year. Here is an answer from the Snapnames Knowledgebase

"When can I transfer my domain name to the registrar of my choice? No. SnapNames has a number of registrar partners, and because acquisition of domain names is highly competitive, we need the unrestricted use of the resources of all our partners in order to be successful. We donโ€™t know until the exact fraction of a second a name becomes available which registrarโ€™s resources will be available to register it. For that reason, we cannot determine ahead of time which registrar will be used to obtain which domain name.

Once registered, you can keep your name at the registering registrar or, after the 60-day registry wait period, you can elect to transfer the name to another registrar.

After 60 days of registration, per registry regulation. "

Yes, you have to leave the domains 60 days with a registrar before moving it.
Domain changed ownership from them to me.

I think I know how to get answers to your questions. Call up register.com and find out where your domain is. This sounds like a bizzare error and I think this will get resolved.

Was this domain already at Register.com and just changing ownership or was it an registrar transfer? I didn't think you could move domains so quickly.

It was on Register. The domain as I told didn't go through the full deletion cycle. It didn't go to the registry redemption period.
So, the tranfer was from them (Register.com) to me.
