advice Domain buying with backordering services like Dropcatch

I think this is my first post here so: Hello to you all! A question is bugging me for some time now.

Am I paying retail prices if bidding on Dropcatch? Is there a margin to be made flipping them in other venues like flippa or afternic? I am seeing domains sold x,xxx on auctions and I am wondering if those people are end users or domainers looking to flip them for profit. Same question would apply for Namejet, for example.

Yes, some are end user's. Some are reseller. But every experience domainer know how to throw the right $$ on a name. The act is to know the liquid value of the name. So to your question, yes and no.
