Ever sell a domain and the buyer does literally nothing with it?

We sold a domain name for $xxx well over a year go, and the buyer never changed any of the DNS settings (to have it point to his own hosting or parking service) so it's still resolving to our own (automated) website .. generating a steady 10-15 uniques & 20-30 pageviews per day and revenue to boot!

I suppose some people simply have too large a portfolio to (properly) manage...

Anyone else?

I sold a domain in early 2008 for $10k via an auction.

It's still in my sedo account. I sent several emails to the buyer to remind him updating the NS but no reply.

It happens ...

I have this domain i sold around 2 years ago, still sitting pretty in my portfolio. I've renewed it once and its renewal time again soon.
cant sell it coz its not mine, and the buyer wont respond to my emails. Odd situation.

it happens all the time, on one hand thanks for the traffic- but on the other- there is some risk there.. some people are not concerned with directing names and this happens regularly in our experience

I sold TurboHD.com to Dish Network, and they never changed the DNS. Needless to say, it's made me A LOT of money.

I spent $500 on a name, got busy, completely forgot about it and never bothered to complete the transfer.
I told the previous owner he could just keep it. It wasn't that important. He wound up selling it on SEDO for $5XX at auction a couple months later, so at least I knew my pricing instincts were right :)
