Domain Appraisal Game - Now Live

SpaceshipSpaceship
Watch
Check it out guys. It is a Domain Appraisal game. Using NameBio's database we have built a flash game that shows you 5 different domain names that have sold and asks you for an appraisal. The closer you are to the sales price, the more points you earn and get ranked.

Feedback is always welcome!

damn... uh... any appraisers need an intern?...

pretty fun, but maybe you can expand it to 10 questions per game rather than just 5. you should probably also change the scoring system slightly so that points are given on different tiers of names, which would eliminate the huge range of scores. after that, you can try having different versions of the game based on categories!!

good job though :tu:

[edit: i hit 60 pts... any interns out there? lol]

Im glad you guys like it! I will definetly look into making some newer updates. The hardest part is making it so no one cheats!!!! I definetly smell some of those 100's as not quite accurate. All I do is look at Domain Sales all day and I cant even do more than 80. But thanks for all of your support, and pass the game around!

LoL - its not supposed to be easy !!

I think the only people who have found success were people who opened up another browser with NameBio in it! LoL (CHEATERS!!!!)

Ive also found the game to be horribly addicting. And Odds are you wont be seeing the same domain names, as it currently stands the Database it draws from has almost 14000 domain sales.

Feedback is always welcome! Many suggestions will be added to the next game edition.

Thanks,
Justin

Very cool idea. :D

Hope you're collecting all the guessing that could make for some very interesting statistics.

LoL! Didnt even think about that. I will have to have the Developer include a catch for that information!!!

Thanks,

pretty interesting game. Makes you think that domain cost whatever one is willing to pay for it, and nada more.
I priced one of the names to $4500 but it was sold for $2 :)

Just goes to show you how much market price differs from Expectations.

That's why over time (when there is enough data) it will be intriguing to see the statistics on people's guesses (the mean, mode and median), and then the actual price it sold for.

It's a great idea, surprised it hasn't been done before, hard too... my best is 64 :)

One suggestion would be to have the details section built into the flash file so it's like a panel that slides down into view instead of a pop-up.

I am considering squeezing it in. I may remove the adsense if it doesnt perform and replace it with a better details panel, one that gives you the information as you click it.

Not a bad concept on the data collection. I may have to do that as well.

love the input!

Thanks,
Justin
