Why does domainers concentrate so much on domain age? How does it impact domain value? Why?

What is the point in considering the age of 15-20yrs parked domain?

i really think it's because, domainers believe what others tell them

as, age of a domain has never been a factor in any of my domain choices

probably so they can "say in the title of their sales thread" and hope to lure a buyer who looks for aged domains.

though from a sellers side, if i've had a name for 10 years and it produced revenue for that duration, i'm not going to sell it for 18 months revenue.

imo...

It matters to a group of domainers who think it matters to others.

To end users and the rest of the world it doesn't matter if the domain is 10 years old or 10 days old.
