Does having Fantastico De Luxe mean I can install Wordpress / Joomla?

I'm in the final stages of a very long host selection process and I'm a little foggy on this aspect...

If a web host claims to have Fantastico De Luxe script installer as a feature, does that mean Joomla and Wordpress are included?

Based on what I want to do and how I want to start, those two "scripts/template systems" are important for me to have.

This is a super newb question but if you consider the 10,000,000 hosting companies and the endless ways they promote their offerings - it gets pretty confusion for us rookies.

ie. Some host claim they have Fantastico, some claim they have Wordpress or Joomla and others claim to have all of the above!!!

Help and suggestions are appreciated. Thank you

Yes, fantastico allows you to install wordpress and joomla in a few clicks. Note that wordpress and joomla and not exclusively available on fantastico, it just makes it easier.

Thanks for getting back to me. Just to follow up, does that mean if the host has Fantastico then I can use ANY / ALL scripts that Fantastico supports?

Once I get going - I have a feeling I'll be in this area picking brains alot. Heads up lol

From a web developer's standpoint, using Fantastico is only recommendable if you can't take an hour out of your week to learn how to install a script yourself. Fanatastico sometimes uses messy installation methods (or it used to), and can install outdated version of scripts. Wordpress and Joomla are both very simple set ups, and if you can spare the time, it would be worth learning to install them yourself.

Anyways, yes, Fantastico De Luxe will allow you to install these scripts, but you can easily attain them for free by download from either of thier production sites.
