Hi guys. How often do you buy domains listed on NamePros? What’s the #1 driving factor in the decision to buy or not — the name, the price, the day of the week?

As a seller, have you found one price range or type of listing, etc, makes a difference?

Holy Molly! :xf.grin:
The day of the week. I love saturdays... well, sundays too :xf.cool:
No, now seriously... I look for the name and the price. The better the first, and the lowest the second. :-P

Most of the people here buy domains at a reseller price. At a "very" reseller price.
This is, the price you would pay on an "average" domain auction at other auction sites. This is, when the auction doesn't go too high due to "biding wars" between two of the biders. Also, you can exclude GD auctions. They usually go far higher than auctions on other platforms. Sadly and unfortunately for many domainers.

If you are looking for a price range... you can take GD appraisal tool and take the 10% of that value. On average, not always of course.
Hope it helps. (y)

Thanks so much, @Sutruk! I was starting to get that impression — VERY reseller price. The trouble is that I have no idea how or where to start outbound. I’m just sort of waiting for an end-user to happen upon my domains.

Yes, the best is to wait for an end-user looking for your domain.
Outbound only works when you have a very good domain that could be really of interest to the other party.
And even in that case, 95% of the potential buyers that you reach, won't see the value of ugrading their domain with a better name.
Unfortunately for them, and for you. So yes, better wait till a buyer shows interest in your domains.
But, first of all, you should first acquire quality domains. Then buyers will eventually come looking for them.
And, be patient, because this is a long term "game". (y)

Molly this is my favorite place to buy domains.

I recommend you follow the bargain section (which i do) some of the best .com deals; I also follow Liquid LLLL.com which is cheaper than any other market. I challenge u find cheaper llll.com

Please try to avoid non-com pseudo-exts; and try to build reputation through “bargain” here in NP.

So, I’m confused. I see you guys looking… maybe not those of you who’ve commented here, but someone is. I monitor analytics on my portfolio, and my domains seem to be piquing interest. (Nearly 3k in the last 14 days, though NP isn’t the only source. Is there a “good” number as a newbie?) However, almost none of the visits end in sales. I think you guys call this CTR or something, and mine is dismal.

…if you build it, they will come. But, will they buy anything?

Views are basically meaningless in terms of sales chance imo. Most views will come from bots, investors, and people randomly ending up on the landing page. Very few of those will be end users looking to buy anything.

Almost all of my sales came from domains with low views

A small number of this community report our sales and sometimes we include sources. Of the 269 sales reported this year, 2.1% were purchased on Namepros: https://www.namepros.com/blog/analysis-of-namepros-reported-domain-name-sales.1328162/

I have sold domains here usually in the bargain bin. I've bought a number of domains too also lower end. I'd considering spending more for some of the better domains but I feel like many of the people that list them are hoping to get retail pricing here.
