chillies.com. I registered it in NetSol in 2000 (or maybe before.. I don't recall if it was dropped before it was captured) before the explosion in registrars and the domain price drop. So it cost me, I forget now, was it about $70 to hand-reg. It was for my BBS, The Chili Channel. Because of all the red tape when this transition happened, I was unable to prove to NetSol that I was the legitimate owner of the domain, despite it being in my NetSol account. So I lost the domain at that time. I've never forgiven NetSol for that. As we now know, BBS's didn't transition very well from using modems to using the internet. I ran a six modem BBS (which was quite big). I was a member of Fidonet at the time. Ah, those were fun days (for me).
It took a whole lot of research, even in those days to find a dictionary domain, and I only managed it by kinda mixing the English and American spelling of Chili together. It was the only domain that was still available to register, even then. So I was very upset to lose it. Estibot values it at $22,000.
