Not being sarcastic but I'm just trying not to waste my time and yours. I assume, perhaps wrongly, that no one will buy a Domain for Sale that one lists on Namepros for sale (Auction/Buy It Now, etc.) at a price above wholesale rates. Is that for the most part a correct assumption? In other words if you list a domain appraised by Atom at $20,000 and you list it at $1,000, that is way to high for the Namepros buyer & you'd be lucky to get $300 if you get a bid/offer at all.

Automated appraisals are meaningless.

The buyers here are generally domain investors. You are not going to get retail prices from domain investors.

It has to make sense as an investment, when you factor in normal sell-through rates.

The majority of buyers have unrealistic expectations.
The majority of sellers have junk domains.

That is the underlying problem.

Serious question, I value your opinion. Hypothetically, lets say you have a Domain appraised at $10,000 that you would list for $1,500 on your landing page. Would trying to sell it on Namepros at $500 be too much? Would you be best at listing it at the lowest you'd take, say $300? I'm just trying to get some kind of guideline price.

It depends on the type of domain.

The more liquid value, the higher the price I would pay.

For a highly liquid format like LLL.com, CVCV.com, CCC.com, etc. I would pay a lot higher percent of the retail value than some random two word .com of lower quality.

I don't care about appraisals at all.

There is really no one size fits all answer.

Some domains I have priced at $1,500 might not even sell on NamePros for $50.

Others might sell for several hundred, depending on the type.

Experiment and report back. :)
