Can Verisign decide that some legacy premium drops get held back for a special auction like other names that are still being held back for future auctions?....

I suppose its possible that some of them may drop into the pool and become normal regfee as well.

True Marlowe,

But if they can also go to auction, then i see no incentive for verisign to offer one year buyout deals, when, if the names get dropped, they could be held for auction - netting them far more than a one year buyout at existing premium renewal pricing would net them....

Those I have seen dropping lately have been re-priced and appear to be on the new premium system of normal renewal fee after initial payment.

I don't know of any that have dropped and are not available to reg.

Exactly Len - this is yet another issue that needs clarification. Cause right now we are clutching at straws by looking at existing premium drops and believing them to apply across the board without any certainty...

The way it reads to me is that this statement from Enom will apply to all premiums registered since March 19th, including those that drop.

Premium .TV names re-launched!
Effective immediately, all available premium .tv names have been re-launched with several exciting changes:

•A drastically reduced price on new premium .tv registrations
•For new .tv premium names registered on or after March 19th the renewal price will be the same as your standard, non-premium .tv domains

Correct. But in the quote you mentioned, i see no reference to legacy renewals in the statement because it mentions ALL AVAILABLE PREMIUMS, AND THOSE HOLDING PREMIUMS UPTO THE 18TH ARE NOT AVAILABLE PREMIUMS.

So my issue for clarity is legacy premiums that get dropped not registered after March 19th. I cannot find a public statement detailing what will happen to ALL dropped renewals. Are they all repriced to one off premium payments, or can some get held back for auction or indeed decategorised to a regular reg fee.(last option 100% unlikely)
