DNS or URL redirect for parked domains?

Although I'm very happy with the results I get from Trafficz I've decided to try some of my "has traffic, but no clicks" domains on Namedrive.

While I was changing the DNS servers over at my registrar, the thought occurred to me that although I've always pointed the DNS, all three of the registry, Namedrive and Trafficz support URL redirection, and I wondered what the pros and cons of the two different options are.

As I see it, DNS will serve the ad pages faster through not having the extra DNS & http steps at the registrar (long term gain) while redirect means that when I change a domain between parking providers, url redirection would make the switch happen "instantly" (short term gain) so about 80-20 to DNS, but are their any other advantages or disadvantages I haven't considered?
