Did anyone see that DNF now has a Short Domain category in their marketplace? They are using a stricter definition than Namepros as 4 Characters or less. I know that some people liked that idea but I have always liked the idea of including 5 Character domains as well.

Reece is working hard and investing a lot to create a unique marketplace specialising in short domains only that sounds exciting.

Many other Namepros members have created their own websites where they focus on short domains or niches within short domains. 3character.com, ItalianDragon.com, TVDR.com, 4letternoob.wordpress.com, TDVR.com, DYYO.com, AMDO.com, etc...

It looks like the specialising in short domains is becoming more and more common and the concept of a short domain is not going away in a rush.

They had this section since 25 Feb 2008

They also separated into two sections. Fixed Price & Make Offer.

I hope we have one over here soon. :tu:

Thanks for letting me know. I just noticed it today so I thought it might be new.

The returns we've seen on 2-4 letter/number dotcoms over the last few years have been nothing short of exceptional and I expect the returns we eventually see on prime 5L.coms to be no different.

Since I began following the LLL.com market in 2004, I've watched prices increase 20-fold. LLLL.coms have seen their ups and downs lately, but all in all, the journey has been nothing short of exceptional. Triple letter LLLL.coms which were commonly going for $60-$100 a year ago routinely fetch $1000-$2000 today, CVCVs have gone from being an interesting curiosity a couple years ago (truth be told, I didn't even know what a CVCV was until 2006!) to being one of the hottest domain name segments out there, right up there with LLL.coms.

We've seen quad premium LLLL.coms going from $10 or so 18 months ago, to being disappointed when we get only $350 for that same name today.

LLLL.nets. Hmm.. Bought some at $5-$6 a couple months back and now people are already offering double that? What are your prospects of making a 100% ROI in 2 months in the stock market? With short domains, they're actually pretty good... NNNNN.coms? Still kicking myself for not seeing that one earlier and missing the boat there! CVCV.infos, anyone?

What's next? Pronounceable 5L.coms? VCVC.info? Triple premium LLLL.nets?

I absolutely love this market and no longer invest anything in domains outside of the 5 or less letter market. Every time an opportunity goes away, it seems another one pops up to take it's place...

Have the last couple years not been good to us short domain investors? After the returns I've seen in this market, I couldn't even imagine going back to regular domaining... Where's the fun in making 100% a year when there's people on here making 100% a month?

I'm proud to call myself a domainer specializing in short domains and am proud to call each member of this forum a pioneer in short domains. This is only the beginning guys... :)

I remember being around back in the day when those of us who "missed out" on LLL.coms, generics,... had supposedly "come too late". This kind of thinking cost me a hell of alot of money back then (in missed opportunities) and it's something I still regret to this day... What I've come to learn is that it's never too late... There's always new opportunities and that's never been more true than lately in the short domains field.

LLL.com/net/org/info, LLLL.com/net, 5L.coms, NNN.com/net/org/info, NNNN.com/net/org/info, NNNNN.coms, N-NN.com, NN-N.coms, L-LL.coms, LL-L.coms, L-L-L.coms, N-N-N.coms, ... Take your pick. I highly doubt you'll be anything but overjoyed by the ROI you experience over the next 10 years with any of them.
