Hello All,

I just completed adding two new articles to the 3Character.com website regarding 3 Letter (LLL) domains and welcome your thoughts and comments. 3 Letter domains have been hot topics as of late, and these two articles focus on these unique letter-only combos and just what's driving their high values and demand.

The first commentary takes a look at the 3 letter domain marketplace, past present and future. This article can be viewed at: www.3character.com/commentary.html

The second new article compromises a short 5 question interview (by our very own equity78) with Elequa (owner of over 10,000 3 letter domains). It can be found via a link on the commentary page above!

Just wanted to share and I welcome you all to visit and read!

Thank you,
:) zesty

I think the meaningless one will go rocket high as well...
as people tend to get the name first, and think of the explanation at a later time...

I 'dunno ... I think people, over time, get smarter with their domain name costs/renewal fees/investments, in my view! Three letters will rise - particularly quality lettered ".COM's" - but I'm not so sure that all meaningless, or lesser perceived quality letters (or even extensions) such as Q, X, Y, Z, etc. will follow suit, generally speaking IMHO.
Look forward to the reads in more detail once I get some more time this weekend, thanks.

The earliest mention in print I can find of all 3 letter .coms having gone is an article in the New York Post by Stefan Friedman.

At this link go down to the date 04/18

http://www.domainhandbook.com/archives/media00.html

Unfortunately, the actual article by Stefan Friedman seems to be no longer accessible.

Added later for sake of completeness:

The Economist also wrote something about it during March, 2000 and you also need to be a subscriber to read this:

As of last week, all possible three character combinations had been registered, without exception. With 30,000 domain names being registered daily and the massive quantities of dollars being spent by corporations on acquiring short, easy-to-say identities, it comes as little surprise that the .com-name market is beginning to bulge beyond its limits.

ICANN, the governmental agency responsible for domain name surveillance, will be registering your ...

This is wat i found, the article can be read if you pay ! :td:

I am sure everyone is dying to know if Elequa will be buying three-letter .eu domains.
