Discuss your Epik Experience!

I think Epik is building the best ever Domain Lander in the history of domaining, and it really needs to be talked about extensively. That's why I am creating this discussion thread. A lot of thought process really goes into the project. And I can see (for the first time) a landing page that is built from the stand point of domainers rather than for just the marketplace itself.

Everything you have ever dreamt of getting or seeing in a professional landing page can be found in the new Epik marketplace landing page design.

Some of my Favorites Features:

1. The ability to optimize your "domain for sale" landing page to actually rank on Google, displaying your sales pitch/domain description. I just did that with few of my generic domain names such as ASAP.TV, targeting certain keywords, and they are showing pretty well on Google. That's a huge plus in my marketing effort.

2. Being able to change background image is another huge one for me. If you are good with pictures and images, you will surely find this very useful. I did that with Nagasaki.org and the result was truly amazing, showing the city of Nagasaki right at the background.

There are too many positive features and I don't want to mention all of them, all alone :xf.grin::xf.grin:

So I am leaving you guys to share and discuss what you loves most or dislike about the new Epik marketplace and the landing pages.

The only negative for me is the checkout process. There are too many terms and conditions buttons to tick before checking out. It will be nice if they can streamline those into one beautiful big button :xf.cool:

They also need to place the checkout button directly under the payment options. Right now it is awkwardly place somewhere below at the sidebar, which I don't find cool at all.

Sales experience is also welcomed in this discussion. I haven't had any sells so far at Epik because I started using the marketplace just recently, but the future is looking so bright.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
Of course, they gain value by the day, until eventually they become Daily Diamonds. ;)

This made me laugh )) thank you )

Chris - You were moving expired domains. The staff member was verifying that the move was authorized in order to prevent a case of fraudulent conveyance. You could have simply renewed the domains but instead sought support to allow you to push expired domains. I will review with engineering about simply allowing registrants to push expired domains without renewing.

@vitigo

Done.
Now it's allowed registrants to push expired domains without renewing.

Hello,

New to Epik, Just got off the chat session with Epik, it wasn’t a good one. Ticket no: 93262. I was chatting with Anand from Epik regarding to transfer around 150 domains. One of a fellow domainer from BB referred me to Epik’s offer where I get a $1 credit applied post transfer.

Current cost for a transfer shows as $8.49 so if I get $1 credit I should be looking $7.49 value for a domain. But he said its $7.99.

Ater he said his calculations is wrong so I didn’t find comfortable so left the chat.

Is the transfer for a domain $7.49 or $7.99.?
I want to transfer around 150 domains and looking for good offers. Cheers.

Is it just for me, but this morning when I am not signed in and at the Epik home page and I click on any of the choices (eg domains, solutions .... support) at top of page it tells me for all of them Forbidden when I try to use the selection for any of them. Can someone else please check and report. I am using Chrome on a Mac, and it definitely was not this way earlier. I am not totally clear who the right person to direct this to at Epik, but hopefully one of following can forward it. Or maybe it is just me forbidden from Epik. :xf.eek:
Thanks,
Bob

When it says forbidden, does it also show Adam and Eve next to an apple tree? )))

Not that I can see, but I might be forbidden
I’m wondering if this is related to me tweeting this morning about a good transfer deal at one of their competitors?
Seriously does anyone else get this or is it just me?

Everything is working normal for me today. Can you try logging in using Incognito Mode on your browser? (just to eliminate the possibility of bad cookies)

Hi Bob, sorry I didnt respond to this thread sooner, I wasn't on in the morning. Is the issue continuing? I'll follow up with you via DM to check the logs with your IP. Although it sounds like a browser issue, if your IP were blocked, you wouldn't see any front end items.

With all the great feedback about Epik, I decided that I want to have landers on Epik for several domains that I am selling (my domains are currently with namecheap). I've set it all up about a day or 2 ago, but for some of my domains, I'm receiving this error.

I got same error a few days ago too. But after cleared the cookies it's back to normal again.:xf.wink:

Yes, this error depends on cookies.

Last night I tried to add a domain to Epik's marketplace and was unable to do so. Live support chat didn't seem to know what to do too :dead:

Got this error:
System can't import following domain names:
<mydomainname>.com (domain already exists in system.)

I think this might be because someone previously had the same domain up on Epik but didn't remove it from his/her account.

Is anyone else having problem logging in to Epik now? I submit my usual login and password, and keep getting error:
" The provided credentials are not valid. Please try again including the correct captcha code. If you need assistance with accessing your account, please contact support."

Can you transfer out more than one domain at a time? Can you download EPP codes for all your domains like Godaddy does?

Sadly I don't think you can export the auth codes. I've never understood why as you can export a heap of other info, but not the auths. If you want to export anything else, if you scroll right to the bottom you can see the CSV Export option. Unfortunately it only exports the whole list - I think it would be better if you could also export just selected domains.
