I feel so weird today as most of or may be 70% of my names which were left over till yesterday have been applied by same old companies/people.I Dont understand why are they so much mad for domains and rolling money over , they already have scooped thousand of names and still not satisfied.Their greed is never ending i should have also purchased some TMs from benlux or w/e and should have applied for few names with my shining super $#T^R*A&D&E&M&A&R&K fortunately/unfortunately i dont have such high morals to abuse the system.Other thing i wanted to ask is did the same happened to you guys too ? I doubt the integrity of some registrars as well as i guess they apply for names for themselves if domains look cool and or have been WHOISed too much times which could show the popularity of name.
Finally i would like to quote a sentence from eurid website you can express your feelings about it too.
EURid cannot comment on the effectiveness of the trademark laws and the work of the trademark offices in Europe, nor can we remark on the EC regulation which the member states had the opportunity to comment on.

Peace

I've noticed the same thing on some of the domain I've been looking at. It must be really cheap and easy to get trademarks in the Netherlands. Many of the domains I've been keeping an eye on seems to be applied for by some company with trademarks like "K & E & Y & W & O & R & D"...

this last minute annihilation of the remaining half-decent domains could take the total number of domains awarded to fake trademarks to over 20,000.

It is not cheap. Each application costs about $1000 usd. 1000 trademark applications cost about $1 million.

Yesterday, I also had a big chunk of my pre-regs eliminated from the landrush. However, around 20 percent of sunrise applications are reject so there should be some second chances.
