Hi,

I had this problem in the past, but now it has occured again.

And I think even a bit worse.

While in the past, only my browser (firefox) did not forwarded to DANs landing page,
while telling me there is a risk to go there,
and explicitly asked me if I want to continue (which I did -- but what end-user would do it..?),

now my antivirus software does the same!

Its now 2 fold:

First my antivirus says
"A suspicious site has been blocked for your protection"

after I choose to go forward,
firefox does the same, and I have to agree on it again, click "accept risk", ...

What the hell is happening here?

Btw, I observed this with a domain, that is online since months (and that I hadn't visited before).

As I had it with firefox in the past, I contacted DAN support, they looked into it and said there is no problem etc.

And it was, that new pages weren't right away visitable with Firefox, and you got that "risk alert" beforehand,

and after a while that page (domain) had been online, it went away...

(or it went away as I had visited the site many times before as well... ?)

Now the problem is worse, as both, antivirus and browser, doing this on a site, that is online since months.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You can get errors like this when there isn't a valid SSL certificate. I'm not sure if that's the problem you're seeing here but I'd look at that next time you get this error. If so, then DAN isn't implementing the certificate correctly (I had this issue a couple weeks ago on some new domains I added).

go to np landers. they are cute and well it's np so u know its quality.

as far as I know and hope np landers do not suffer from blockers

Sounds frustrating! Antivirus blocking your DAN landing pages could be a false positive. Maybe try temporarily disabling your antivirus (with caution!) to see if Firefox still throws a warning. If so, it might be worth contacting both DAN support and your antivirus provider to report the issue.

That is the case.

The SSL icon tells me,
you are communicating over an unsecure connection.

This is not just for new domains just recently added, but domains added months ago already.

Well yes, Firefox itself throws the warning (without using av).

I contacted DAN in the past, I think 2 times about this, and yet its still there...

We all have :/

It seems that Dan.com is no longer addressing issues as they did in the past, especially before the acquisition. The same goes for Afternic.

For me, the TLS errors were the main reason I stopped using Dan.com landers entirely. While my domains are still listed, I no longer use Dan.com for the landers.

It’s unfortunate because, as a customer, I’ve contributed significantly to both Dan.com and Afternic by helping them correctly implement TLS.

However, there’s only so much I can do. Changing GoDaddy as a company is beyond my control.
