@DAN.COM Will the new Price Request feature save the pricing within our Dashboard? Or will it remove the Price field if we choose the Price Request option? (I'd hate to have to look up the price somewhere else every time someone requests a price.) Also, do you have a date when this will be released? Thanks.
Good morning,

Yes, the prices will stay within the dashboard. Unfortunately, we have no fixed ETA yet but it should not take long anymore!

Have a great day.

Oh-freaking-no, for your 5% fee all you get is a Dan Bot regurgitating canned responses, and without even the option of contacting a human broker like on a 9% transaction. I only get "We think this domain is still locked" and "Could you inform us where the domain is currently registered".

This is a "push" transaction as the company wants it ASAP, and I am not sure how to proceed. As they've paid and are now asking me where the domain is, I may just go ahead and push it to their account, as I could be playing this Dan Bot game forever.

Live and learn - 5% at Dan gets you a hearty handshake and a few well wishes.
@DomainRecap,

I am not quite sure how you determine this to be the case but I can assure you it is incorrect. The Dan Bot is introduced at all our user's convenience. It only ensures transfers are sped up and many transactions can still be concluded while our transfer team is offline. It has nothing to do with a transaction being imported or processed at a 9% commission. If manual interference is needed it will be attended to by our transfer team upon their return the next morning.

Regards,

Regards,

What I mean by that is in every one of my standard transactions at Dan, there is an option to "type in 'Broker Name' and speak to a broker" whereas here there is no such notation and it's just me and the Dan Bot. I have used this "contact broker" option in the past with non-standard domain transactions (this is a push due the company not wanting to wait a few weeks) and the broker replied relatively quickly.

This recent imported lead/transaction was also completed yesterday afternoon, and the domain is now in the client's account but I'm still looking at a set of canned questions from the Dan Bot.

How exactly do I get a broker involved to close off this transaction?

Hi,

Any updates on this?

I believe 12 days is enough for your guys to fix this bug.

A bug to report,

On the Chinese sale page,
You transalte
Lease to own
to
ๅ…ˆ็งŸๅŽไนฐ,
firstly rent it, then buy it.
which is totally wrong, and will scare away a lot of potential intallments buyers,
the right translation should be
ๅˆ†ๆœŸไป˜ๆฌพ

Good afternoon @simmplex,

Thank you for your feedback. It is highly appreciated. I will relay it to our team straight away to have it reviewed.

Have a great day!

Good morning @simmplex,

We have consulted a translator to review this and got a confirmation that the current characters sufficed their purpose. This is why we have not changed it on this end.

Best regards,

Good morning,

This is possible when manual interference is required. The chat box will open for you to leave messages for a transfer specialist. However, in most cases, the usage of the bot will make due to ensure fast delivery.

All the best,

Just got the below email from DAN for UK based sellers..........

UK VAT logic changes

"

Hi Nicholas,

Since Brexit, there has been a lot of confusion around VAT collection for UK businesses doing business with EU businesses and individuals.

Last week, we received an extensive report from a third party specializing in VAT law and regulations. After reviewing our situation, they concluded that our current VAT logic is outdated and requires an update.

From today on, those logic changes have been implemented, and so our VAT collection logic is now fully updated according to the new situation post-Brexit.

From now on, this changes for you:

1: Dan will not charge VAT on commissions made from UK sellers.
2: UK sellers wonโ€™t be able to collect VAT from EU buyers anymore.
3: The correct UK VAT will be charged to UK buyers & sellers if youโ€™re a UK business with a valid VAT number.

Basically, the most significant difference is that UK sellers wonโ€™t be treated as EU-based sellers anymore from a VAT collection point of view."

Why not just ask any Chinese native speaker on this?

Native English AND Chinese speaker here.

ๅ…ˆ็งŸๅŽไนฐ translates word for word, literally as "first rent later buy", put into a more sensible order in English, "Rent first, buy later"

ๅˆ†ๆœŸไป˜ๆฌพ translates word for word, literally as "split date pay cash/bill", put into a more sensible phrase in English, "Pay by installment".

Good morning @Domain799,

We do not have exact percentages to share but see this payment source being used frequently within all price ranges varying from $100 to $50,000.

Have a great week!

Your background color is so dazzling, will this stimulate buyers to buy impulse?

@DNGear
I don't see this Redirect as well.
So they removed it.

Another news is here: https://dan.com/users/settings/integrations
They launched some kind of MLS/DLS for 20%.
Noticed that as well.

It says,

"For distributed transactions, Dan takes a very small fee of 5% commission for R&D, maintenance of the network,
and handling transactions.

The remaining 15% commission is paid out to the inventory provider (5%) and the inventory seller (10%).
The total commission Dan, therefore, charges you for distributed sales is 20% (this includes Danโ€™s 5%)."

Who is the inventory provider and the inventory seller?

How can we tell that a sale came from a "distributed transaction" (20%) instead of a straight up BIN sale (9%)?

I wonder if Dan has any plan to tier the 20% commission dependent on sale price as even Afternic doesn't charge 20% across board.

That's a great question. Also, I've got lower pricing on Dan than on Afternic due to the lower commission. I would have to change my pricing to participate in this new market. Not sure I wanna do that.
