Hello gang,

I've been away from domaining for a while and am "returning" to meet the afternic / dan change.
A pity to see an effective and favourite platform go, and would appreciate your assistance on some questions.

- What are the fees if one is using AN / DAN DNS, 15%?
- Boost is an extra 5%, making 20% total, or is it free for newcomers from DAN?
- Is keeping dan / undeveloped's DNS fine for now and are they perceived as their own by AN's DNS by the system (lower fees, distribution)?
- Currently all domains have "custom lander", that's apparently the migration by default. Apparently it comes with a hefty 25%, so I should change it immediately to a standard AN lander, in order to make use of the 15%?
- can you negotiate yourself, as in DAN, or are you forced to go through a "broker"? If so, is the broker giving you any information that could help you evaluate the potential of a lead, maybe not necessarily the name but for instance other projects of the interested party? Doing a simple google search on the DAN leads which largely came in with real names was a significant indicator of the potential budget.

- can you still talk to existing leads at Dan?
- can you finalize sales from existing leads at Dan?

- what are the best alternatives for imported leads / escrow? Searching the forum it seems most of you are using Atom, DynaDot?

- what are the repercussions for EU based sellers with regards to selling via Afternic? Additionally, Dan was an EU company, AN is not.
Does AN automatically charge buyer's VAT if the buyer is from the EU?
There's no VAT on AN's service, most likely?
Anything else to keep in mind?

Many thanks!

Hello, previous Dan user here. New to Afternic. Can somone tell me the difference between a “price request” and a “price request with a qualified buyer” and broker involved. I’m very confused. The latter began as a price request but before I updated my domain with a price, a broker was in the dashboard and it said I had a qualified lead. That has not been the case with most “price requests.” Any insight would be appreciated!

Hello, The migration from DAN to Afternic can feel like a big shift, but it seems like there are clear options available for domain owners. Whether you go with self-migration, auto-migration, or decide to opt out, the process seems straightforward. It’s important to carefully consider the best route for your needs to ensure a smooth transition. Have you started the migration yet, or are you exploring your options?

Most of the portfolio has automatically migrated already, or so it seems.
The questions above are rather with regards to the details and adaptation to the new system, as I'd guess NP ex-Dan users have already deal with them.

I transferred all the domains I want to sell to "atom", and there is only one installment order on Dan that I purchased, which has been successfully transferred to GoDaddy, and I can continue to pay for the installment domain through GoDaddy every month in the future. AF is so hard to use that I can only shift places.

Is there any further activity going on at DAN or it's already dead?

Whatever domains I had at DAN were already listed at Afternic anyway.

DAN is done. There is a joke that DomainGang played today that got some thinking DAN was back, it's not.
