DaaZ.com is a premium domain names marketplace owned by DaaZ Limited, London (UK).

Key vision of DaaZ.com is helping buyers and sellers to transact with each other in a trusted way.

DaaZ.com key focus is end user focused sales and we have been operational since August 2019 and we have made a quite good progress and supported few thousands buyers buying domains via DaaZ and also having around 800+ sellers offering their inventory for sale. We have registered buyer base of 4000+ buyers.

It may not be lot in terms of numbers, we are the youngest marketplace (without any registrar presence). We have made a good reputation and able to build the traction.

How we are different ?

We may not be too different at moment, we are sharing what we believe is our core offerings:
  • We have developed a platform which is having a very good buyers interface, specially helping wholesale or repeated buyers securing domain names.
  • We allow the listings for free, it's open for all sellers (aka domainers) and support 1400+ domain extensions
  • Sellers can run any time auctions. This feature help for regular cash-flow needed by the sellers. (Disclaimer: At present very few end users participate into these auctions, mostly domainers / resellers winning the names )
  • Lowest Success Fee: Our success fee is 8% (with chargeback protection included) is the lowest in the industry offered by any domain name marketplace.
  • We pay to the sellers via PayPal / Wire transfers. No PayPal withdrawal or pay-out fees, all fees covered by DaaZ with in 8% success fee (In short, no indirect fees)
  • We offer live chat support round the clock (Although we are not officially 24/7, we are offering near 24/7 support). We look after our buyers and sellers with great attention.
  • We love automation of the processes; however we do believe the human interaction with the buyers makes a lot of difference. So, we automated what we believe is required to automate and we kept those human interactions with the buyers or sellers where we believe is required to be in place
We are open to listening to our buyers and sellers and improve the platform every month. We are making two improvement releases a month to fix the product related issues and also bringing new features.

We believe our customers are our gods and we help them in all possible means we can. That's clearly reflecting in our customer reviews, we are proud to share we are a new market place however according to Trustpilot we have secured the highest customer trust among all domain name market places in 2020 with 4.9 trust rating : https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/daaz.com

What we believe we need to improve ?

We believe a platform will be never perfect and has to continue to listen to our customers and deliver a platform of their choice. So, we have a clear outlined process to receive the feedback and handle the product improvements effectively
  • We are relatively a young platform, so we have a lot of room to improve on number of features and catch-up, we are addressing the backlog with a lot of passion
  • We are aware that we need to bring the installment plan, rent to own features, also a powerful API to help the bulk sellers. We have clearly these features in our product road-map for 2021.
  • We have a lot more innovative ideas not attempted by any other marketplace, we are focusing to address the industry standard offerings first before moving on delivering these innovative ideas to help the domain investors / sellers
  • We also record every suggestion given by our buyers and sellers, we analyse the feedback, and all the appropriate feedback is getting added to backlog
  • Our road-map is ready for next 5 years and we will do everything possible to help to improve the standards of domain name marketplace
We love to listen to the NamePros community hence we are setting up this Official thread.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Thanks for clarifying that. It's nice to know that US customers can accept payment via Paypal, but with only an additional 3% international charge from them.

And, nowadays, generally how quickly are payouts being made to the domain seller?
Yes US buyers can pay using their PayPal ( with 3% processing fee ) and also US sellers can ask for PayPal payout without any extra charges up to 2000 USD per payout.

As per user agreement its 14 days , but 99% of our payouts are done with in 2 working days. Thats our track record on Payouts.

Already used a few times by me and planning more.
Daaz = low fees + good support + speedy sales completion (once the buyer paid, it really goes fast).
Good luck and wishing you steady growth on the sale numbers.

Do buyers get an invoice with seller's details, or is the seller not disclosed to the buyer?

Once the sale is closed , buyers can see the invoice issued by the seller. Seller can see the buyer's details in the auto-generated invoice.

Sounds good.

Will you use the seller's details (name or company name and address) for the invoice, and the issuer will be the seller's name and the seller's address? So as I understand, you take the seller's name and address and then you automatically print them on the invoice? I am asking this because I would buy domain names using the Daaz secure transactions with my business funds, thus I would need a proper tax invoice for my accounting purposes, which looks like a real, properly formatted tax invoice in PDF format (with things like issuer name and address, my billing details as a buyer, date, unique invoice number, description of the service, amount paid, currency, tax amount).

Its a PDF copy accepted by most of the countries tax authorities. Will be happy to even issue the custom invoices on behalf of the seller for your purchases. We are flexible and make sure we ensure a smooth transaction for you. As said earlier, its the seller who issues the invoice to the buyers for their domain name sales.

DaaZ issues the invoices to you if in case you are paying the service fee to DaaZ as a buyer. That invoice only covers the service fee amount. One invoice you will get from seller for the price you have paid and another invoice from DaaZ for the service fee you have paid to DaaZ.

Sounds good.
Will Paypal charge a fee when receiving the payment? I think you can choose on Paypal who pays the fees when paying a seller. So it depends on how do you pay the seller, right?

DaaZ cover's PayPal payout fees ( its 2% as we process through PayPal mass payment) - as said earlier no indirect fees to the sellers. We make a loss of 0.5 to 1% for each transaction we process through PayPal on processing fees itself. We may revise this in the future, at least for 2021 this is our fee structure.

Let's say a seller manages to sell a domain for 50 USD, and seller pays the fees. And then the seller chooses to get paid by Paypal. In this case, will the seller receive 50-2.5 = 47.5 USD by Paypal, or will Paypal still take some fees?
That's correct. Seller will get 47.5 USD by PayPal.

One more question please, do you provide and escrow account during the transaction? So will the seller push or transfer the domain name first to your Daaz escrow domain registrar account, and then you push or transfer the domain from your escrow registrar account to the buyer, or should the seller push or transfer the domain directly to the buyer in 1 step?

We accept domain name push from almost all registrars. Even we handled some of the toughest registrars (e.g: Netsol with 100's of domain pushes in last 3 months time) , even covering some of the toughest ccTLDs too. If there is a specific ccTLD has a restriction and doesn't allow us to accept the domain push , for those special cases we may ask for domain transfer.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Happy to answer them.

Dear @DaaZ
I used the Daaz Secure Transactions two times as a buyer, here are my suggestions:

- buyer and seller see each other's email, it's not the best solution in terms of privacy, account IDs would be enough instead of the email addresses to identify the buyer and seller

@Charybdis we are allowing to create a transition using DaaZ username too. It's a quick solution we have implemented based on your feedback.

Thanks for contributing to the improvement of DaaZ platform.

Few important updates related to payment methods and success fees:

a) DaaZ has started offering 1% discount each to both the buyer and seller on wire transfer payment method, as a result the bin transactions are going to cost 4% to the seller and technically 3% considering buyer get 1% discount too.

b) From Nov 23rd onwards we are changing the minimum transaction fee to 5 USD. So far we have offered the industry low transaction fee of just 1 USD . Kindly note we are making losses on these small sales, especially offering at 1 USD, so we end up optimizing the minimum success fee.

@DaaZ i have a question please, as i have read and could not find the answer if i want to put a domain for auction, it cost $1
but there are different options for the duration of the auction
so if i choose the 3 day option it still will cost me $1 usd x domain x auction or it will be $3 because that's how long the auction will last
thank you
and also thank you for answering my previous questions
1, 3 , 7 days are allowed auction duration. Irrespective of the auction duration, auction submission fee is just 1 USD only.

In summary , for your question - it cost only 1 USD.

Daaz is one of the best domain aftermarket websites out there..the owner and team are extra supportive, trustworthy and Daaz is very cheap to use. I've bought many names and sold some through Daaz and it went well everytime.

I'll keep using Daaz and their escrow service in the future.

I would think there woould be a lot more sales if the Auctions were free. Take a fee from the sales but make the Auction free, since many of the names in Auction don't sell. Not sure how much admin overhead is required in auctions, but removing the fees would definitely increase activity. More activity means more sales.

I never got an offer and once I put them on Auction, Offers started coming in.

Pretty much like, SAV. I would even suggest making the reserve lower.

Just an Honest Feedback

I have listed
Zty.in
Pronoun.in
Thank you.

You have an Optimization Opportunity to increase your sale chances:

  • Re-direct the traffic to DaaZ (just update name servers to ns1.daaz.org and ns2.daaz.org)
  • Why DaaZ landing pages are the best fit for your names?
  1. DaaZ is certainly the leading marketplace for .in names
  2. DaaZ team offer the live chat support almost 20 to 22 hours a day, some days 24 hours too
  3. Any buyer comes on your landing page, Live chat team engage the buyer and try to close the deal, we do everything possible to convert into a sale
  4. Most of the .in domain names are purchased by India residents and our support team can speak in their local language, which could increase your chances to increase the sale rate
It’s optional to use DaaZ.com landing pages, but highly recommended action. As usual, it is our pleasure serving you!

can you add a text box where you can put the max domain length, the slider is slippery and uneasy to use.

May I know the screen you are experiencing this issue? Feel free to post here or DM me or discuss with your live chat team.

We certainly value your feedback and improve both on the slider and also limit the length of the domain name if that feedback is certainly useful for all.

@DaaZ when starting a Daaz secure transaction, the buyer has to share his/her daaz.com account email address with the seller. But email is private data. It is unnecessary to share the email with the seller.

It would be better if the seller could enter just the buyer's daaz.com username, or account ID to initiate the transaction, so that the buyer doesn't have to share the email with the seller.

Feedback accepted.

DaaZ Secure is primarily designed to support the Outbound sales. As most of the domainers are doing the outbound using email id that was the basis considering the email as the starting point of engagement with the buyer. As these days social media based outbound is active, we have a backlog item to address this change. We will keep it flexible considering the privacy aspect of the buyer.

We will update this thread once this change is implemented.

@DaaZ can you please explain to me this condition? It is displayed in the account area.

"After Buyer completed the payment if the transaction is cancelled for what so ever reasons, DaaZ service fees will not be refunded and buyer is accountable for 100% fees."

What if the seller cancels the transaction? In this case, according to that sentence above, the buyer has to pay all fees. But that would be not logical.

"if the transaction is cancelled for what so ever reasons" - cancelled by whom?

There are 3 cases:
- buyer cancels the transaction
- seller cancels the transaction
- Daaz cancels the transaction

That quoted sentence basically says that if the transaction is cancelled for whatever reason (by buyer, by seller or by Daaz), then the buyer has to pay 100% of the fees.

If this isn't the case, then you should word that quoted sentence clearer.

DaaZ secure transactions are zero percent revenue focused transactions for DaaZ and even in some cases we incur the losses on the processing fees itself ( when sellers ask for sending small payouts via wire or for all payment payouts). We are not counting the product development, maintenance and staff costs. In addition to that we have to face the charge back risks too.

As the DaaZ secure transactions are offline agreed deals, buyer and seller has to be fully prepared to complete the transaction.

Kindly note , DaaZ secure transactions can only initiate by the seller and the buyer reviews the terms and conditions of the transaction and accept the same.

You are right. Buyer or seller can cancel the transaction.

If the seller doesn't honor for a transaction he / she initiated, we prefer to ban such seller conducting business on DaaZ. Business ethics are more important than money. If there is a valid reason, certainly we will be considerate for sure.

In the last (circa) 2 years, we have not seen a single seller or DaaZ cancelling any DaaZ secure transactions.

Buyers often request to cancel the transactions for reasons like transfer out is not possible or they changed the mind..etc. All we are telling the buyer is you are accountable for processing fees.

Kindly note for regular DaaZ listing ( BIN, Make Offer, Auction or Lease to Own) sales, we refund 100% if the seller doesn't honor to handover the domain name to the buyer. It happened few times , as some sellers list across multiple platforms (or) forget to renew names on time (or) sell in wholesale on forums or social media groups and forget to remove the domain name from BIN listings from DaaZ. In those circumstances, we swiftly refund to the buyer without buyer even asking for it.

Dear @DaaZ
I used the Daaz Secure Transactions two times as a buyer, here are my suggestions:

I think it should be used more often here on Namepros when buying-selling domain names. Daaz Secure Transactions is a great way to buy and sell domains, for example here on Namepros. It was very fast, a transaction was started on Sunday and it was completed on the same day, on Sunday. And your fees are very low, too. The best thing is that a domain name can be priced for as low as 10 USD, and it is possible to transact multiple domain names in a single Daaz Secure Transaction. I recommend the Daaz Secure Transactions when buying or selling domain names.

My suggestions:

- buyer and seller see each other's email, it's not the best solution in terms of privacy, account IDs would be enough instead of the email addresses to identify the buyer and seller

- as a buyer, my company name and company VAT number is missing from the auto-generated invoice, but I filled in my billing details prior to starting the Daaz Secure transaction. I had to contact the support and ask for the corrected invoice, this is not efficient, please try to display the company name and VAT number on the invoices automatically

- you mentioned before that "As the DaaZ secure transactions are offline agreed deals, buyer and seller has to be fully prepared to complete the transaction.", but it's not true, as I mentioned, I used Daaz Secure Transactions to buy domain names here from another Namepros members. These were not "offline agreed deals", and I have never met the sellers. It is unreasonable that as a buyer, I have to agree to pay 100% of the fees should the seller cancel the transaction. You mentioned that "no seller cancelled a transaction in last 2 years", but still, according to your legal terms, the buyer has to pay 100% of the fees should a seller cancel a transaction, what you say here on this forum will not overwrite your legal terms. My suggestion is to remove this condition. Seller should pay the fees should the seller cancel a transaction, and the buyer should pay the fees should the buyer cancel the transaction.

Many thanks for your feedback, All the suggestions you have given are added to the backlog to improve the DaaZ secure feature.
We will make sure those improvements are brought in at the earliest possible. Once they are solved we will i notify you on the same..

We sincerely believe , improvements to the product is a continuous journey and we are happy to invest into the product development. End of the day we are building this product to help the buyers and sellers, so your feedback as a buyer is very useful information to us. We will do everything possible to resolve them at the earliest possible.
