DaaZ.com is a premium domain names marketplace owned by DaaZ Limited, London (UK).

Key vision of DaaZ.com is helping buyers and sellers to transact with each other in a trusted way.

DaaZ.com key focus is end user focused sales and we have been operational since August 2019 and we have made a quite good progress and supported few thousands buyers buying domains via DaaZ and also having around 800+ sellers offering their inventory for sale. We have registered buyer base of 4000+ buyers.

It may not be lot in terms of numbers, we are the youngest marketplace (without any registrar presence). We have made a good reputation and able to build the traction.

How we are different ?

We may not be too different at moment, we are sharing what we believe is our core offerings:
  • We have developed a platform which is having a very good buyers interface, specially helping wholesale or repeated buyers securing domain names.
  • We allow the listings for free, it's open for all sellers (aka domainers) and support 1400+ domain extensions
  • Sellers can run any time auctions. This feature help for regular cash-flow needed by the sellers. (Disclaimer: At present very few end users participate into these auctions, mostly domainers / resellers winning the names )
  • Lowest Success Fee: Our success fee is 8% (with chargeback protection included) is the lowest in the industry offered by any domain name marketplace.
  • We pay to the sellers via PayPal / Wire transfers. No PayPal withdrawal or pay-out fees, all fees covered by DaaZ with in 8% success fee (In short, no indirect fees)
  • We offer live chat support round the clock (Although we are not officially 24/7, we are offering near 24/7 support). We look after our buyers and sellers with great attention.
  • We love automation of the processes; however we do believe the human interaction with the buyers makes a lot of difference. So, we automated what we believe is required to automate and we kept those human interactions with the buyers or sellers where we believe is required to be in place
We are open to listening to our buyers and sellers and improve the platform every month. We are making two improvement releases a month to fix the product related issues and also bringing new features.

We believe our customers are our gods and we help them in all possible means we can. That's clearly reflecting in our customer reviews, we are proud to share we are a new market place however according to Trustpilot we have secured the highest customer trust among all domain name market places in 2020 with 4.9 trust rating : https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/daaz.com

What we believe we need to improve ?

We believe a platform will be never perfect and has to continue to listen to our customers and deliver a platform of their choice. So, we have a clear outlined process to receive the feedback and handle the product improvements effectively
  • We are relatively a young platform, so we have a lot of room to improve on number of features and catch-up, we are addressing the backlog with a lot of passion
  • We are aware that we need to bring the installment plan, rent to own features, also a powerful API to help the bulk sellers. We have clearly these features in our product road-map for 2021.
  • We have a lot more innovative ideas not attempted by any other marketplace, we are focusing to address the industry standard offerings first before moving on delivering these innovative ideas to help the domain investors / sellers
  • We also record every suggestion given by our buyers and sellers, we analyse the feedback, and all the appropriate feedback is getting added to backlog
  • Our road-map is ready for next 5 years and we will do everything possible to help to improve the standards of domain name marketplace
We love to listen to the NamePros community hence we are setting up this Official thread.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I would like to share my experience of Daaz's excellent service.

I order their brokerage service, they did whatever they could to generate leads, even they featured my domain without any additional charges. They generated few leads as well. But the buyers offered low price (This happens in most of the cases when lead is outbound), one day I did receive an offer of $2000, but was not living to give away for that price.

But they're doing a great job, I'm using their landing pages for few of my domains and I do believe this is going to be a promising MarketPlace in the near future...

Thank you Robin, we will certainly try everything possible to give better sell through rate for your portfolio. We are keen on helping every domainer, specially we are monitoring the traffic on every landing page and trying to engage the buyers with great passion.

We are also constantly improving our processes and products. We may not be the best, but certainly we are sincere in our efforts though.

Do buyers get an invoice with seller's details, or is the seller not disclosed to the buyer?

Once the sale is closed , buyers can see the invoice issued by the seller. Seller can see the buyer's details in the auto-generated invoice.

On December 4th we have introduced bulk add / bulk re-concile of the portfolio via Excel spread sheet and also introduced number of other improvements in that release.

DaaZ.com will continue to focus on improving the product and specially taking the feedback from each one of you and bringing the offerings to help the domainers in every possible means. End of the day our dream is building a product to help each and every domain name investor.

We have introduced the below features on the eve of Christmas :)

1) Sellers can now add the BIN prices while listing the domain name for the auction , it means buyers can purchase the name at BIN price before the auction end time. Once the buyer completes the purchase at BIN price, auction will be ended automatically and a notification will be sent to all bidders who has participated in that particular auction

2) Added a new theme "Elegant Lite" - this theme can be used for newly registered names. This theme wont show the age , registration details of the domain name.

3)Hiding Expiry date from those domains landing pages until the who is details are showing the latest expiry dates and also couple of improvements are made to achieve higher resilience of who is scanner

4) Balance Feature:
  • Introduced the "Balance" feature, now sale proceedings can be added to balance and withdraw later. This feature help to accumulate the small amounts and withdraw once its crossed a certain amount like 1000 USD
  • Introduced the option for the buyers directly deposit an amount into balance and use the same amount for repeated small purchases.
  • Balance amount can be used to purchase other domain names or add-on services from DaaZ.
Note: DaaZ team has a lot of good ideas to extend this usecase with the wider collaboration with other industry players. We will certainly achieve some of them in 2021.

5) Introduced minor UI improvements like adding new icons for each menu and also optimizing the menu options for buyer's login

Couple of other bugfixes / defects are also completed.

We will be soon releasing the videos for new features introduced, we will share the same in this official thread.

Sorry to hear about that experience, we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

We looked into all logs, there are no issues recorded on our end. Very likely it could be a local or browser specific issue. Around 20+ members joined in the last 5 hours.

We request you to give one try and let us know , how it goes.
The best place for you to discuss this one is the live chat team. our team is active near 24/7 , so its easy to sort out any tech issues with the live chat team.

You have not missed anything, we have to accept the short coming there. Platform point of view its ready to support the auctions with a very small success fee of 8%.

We are requesting the Namepros members to join and support to keep this platform supporting the domainers auction needs. A dedicated marketplace to auction 1400+ extensions.

We are there round the clock to support you and your buyers. Certainly we have to attract more bidders to bid on the names, we are generating a decent amount of traffic on names though.

May I know the screen you are experiencing this issue? Feel free to post here or DM me or discuss with your live chat team.

We certainly value your feedback and improve both on the slider and also limit the length of the domain name if that feedback is certainly useful for all.

Thank you. In mobile screens it's bit difficult at moment to adjust the filter (agree on your feedback), we are aware of this and will certainly fix it.

If you are using the desktop version, you can use the left and right arrow keys to manage that easily.

Your feedback is taken , certainly will do everything possible to fix that and we will notify you once it's fixed.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused to you.

https://www.namepros.com/threads/do-domainers-need-a-free-auction-submission-platform.1225796/page-2

After listening to the views of Namepros domaining community , we have decided to keep the auction submissions free.

The same change has been made and now auction submissions can be made without paying any submission fees.

At the moment there are no restrictions on the amount of names a seller can auction, however we have the right to restrict a member who may abuse this free submissions.

Also sellers can add the reserve price, again we given the flexibility for the sellers to decide their domain name reserve prices.

We are 100% against auctioning obvious trademark (TM) names, if a member involved in auctioning obvious TM names and such members accounts may be suspended or restricted.

Important Notes to consider:
  • If the domain name sells, obviously we charge 8% success fee. Please consider the same before auctioning your domain name.
  • We are offering a platform and we are there near 24/7 or at least 20 hours a day to help the buyers and sellers.
  • We cant guarantee auctioning your domain name leads to a sale
  • We may restrict the number of names a member can auction for free in a specific month. e.g: If we notice a lot of bad quality names getting entered into the auction, we may end up restricting this to a specific number of names

Important updates:

1) DaaZ has reduced the success fees to 7% (No Indirect fees whatsoever). If you sell a name for 100 USD - 93 USD will be your payout amount.

  • Payouts over 100 USD can be paid via Bank transfers or Paypal
  • Transferwise ( only supported to proven regions like Europe, USA, Canada, India ...etc)
  • Payouts below 100 USD via PayPal or Transferwise
  • Payout can be added to balance and can request the withdrawal once its reached certain balance amount like 500 USD or 1000 USD ( or) spend on purchasing domains
  • Crypto Payouts (in Pilot mode at moment) are also supported - Only supporting few selected and verified sellers
2) PayPal has made increasingly difficult for us to operate and work with them, It's costing around 7 to 10% in PayPal processing fees as they are levying 3% withdrawal for USD balances with the effective from new year.
  • 4.9%+ 30 cents when we receive payment from the buyer
  • 2% for Payouts
  • 3% for USD balance withdrawal fee / 3 to 4% currency conversion charges
We had number of discussions with them to negotiate however they are not open reducing the fees.

Accepting PayPal is like accepting a minimum loss of 3% on each transaction which is not sustainable business model for us. To discourage the buyers who prefer to use PayPal we have introduced 2% processing fees to the buyers who are looking to use the PayPal

Buyers has plenty of choice for sure:
  • All Debit cards Up to 10000 USD / EUR / GBP
  • All Credit cards (Including Amex) Up to 10000 USD / EUR / GBP
  • Direct bank transfers
  • Transferwise transfers
  • Crypto ( Pilot mode)
We are in the process of exploring few more payment options to make it easier for buyers to transact with us, specially to helping the customers from emerging economies. We will certainly notify you once those changes are in place.

DaaZ has implemented a new feature to delete any number of domain names from your portfolio using the Bulk edit excel feature. Just a new column introduced in excel spread sheet, all you have to do is just mark the domain name for deletion as "Yes"

Feel free to feedback if you are looking for any further features to be introduced by DaaZ, it's our pleasure to take your feedback and improve further.

@DaaZ do you provide an API for listing / delisting domains, setting / changing the price?

•••
@DaaZ can you tell me more about the Daaz secure transactions? So when buyer and seller use your platform to change ownership of a domain.

Will you send a proper tax invoice after the purchase automatically to the buyer? Is it automatic, or the buyer should request the invoice?
Who will be the issuer of the invoice, Daaz Limited (your company), or the seller?
How does this invoice look like?

When a seller sells a domain using Daaz secure transaction, then how can the seller withdraw the money, what are the option and what are the fees? When using Paypal for withdrawal, then how much will Paypal charge when receiving the money?

@DaaZ can you tell me more about the Daaz secure transactions? So when buyer and seller use your platform to change ownership of a domain.
Below blog post cover the complete details about DaaZ secure transactions.
https://daaz.com/blog/daaz-secure-domainnames-with-daaz-domain-marketplace

@DaaZ
Will you send a proper tax invoice after the purchase automatically to the buyer? Is it automatic, or the buyer should request the invoice?

Who will be the issuer of the invoice, Daaz Limited (your company), or the seller?
How does this invoice look like?

Invoices are auto generated. Once the transaction is closed invoice will be visible for downloading.
Seller issues the invoice to the buyer. DaaZ issues the invoice to the seller or buyer , depends on who paid the service fee to DaaZ. DaaZ is just a service provider hence always seller issues the invoice to the buyer.

DaaZ has an option for either buyer or seller paying the service fees or can split the fees between both of them.

@DaaZ
When a seller sells a domain using Daaz secure transaction, then how can the seller withdraw the money, what are the option and what are the fees? When using Paypal for withdrawal, then how much will Paypal charge when receiving the money?

DaaZ has no hidden fees to the sellers. We charge just 5% for DaaZ secure transctions.

Seller can receive the amount via PayPal or Wire transfer or Wise.com payouts. Even DaaZ support BTC payouts , but we are supporting this only for few verified accounts at moment.

Recently a seller from USA has sold a domain name for 2000 USD and seller paid DaaZ secure fees. We make sure the seller has 1900 USD Net proceedings in the bank account, paid via Wise.com.

Sounds good.

Will you use the seller's details (name or company name and address) for the invoice, and the issuer will be the seller's name and the seller's address? So as I understand, you take the seller's name and address and then you automatically print them on the invoice? I am asking this because I would buy domain names using the Daaz secure transactions with my business funds, thus I would need a proper tax invoice for my accounting purposes, which looks like a real, properly formatted tax invoice in PDF format (with things like issuer name and address, my billing details as a buyer, date, unique invoice number, description of the service, amount paid, currency, tax amount).

Will Paypal charge a fee when receiving the payment? I think you can choose on Paypal who pays the fees when paying a seller. So it depends on how do you pay the seller, right?

Let's say a seller manages to sell a domain for 50 USD, and seller pays the fees. And then the seller chooses to get paid by Paypal. In this case, will the seller receive 50-2.5 = 47.5 USD by Paypal, or will Paypal still take some fees?

One more question please, do you provide and escrow account during the transaction? So will the seller push or transfer the domain name first to your Daaz escrow domain registrar account, and then you push or transfer the domain from your escrow registrar account to the buyer, or should the seller push or transfer the domain directly to the buyer in 1 step?

Its a PDF copy accepted by most of the countries tax authorities. Will be happy to even issue the custom invoices on behalf of the seller for your purchases. We are flexible and make sure we ensure a smooth transaction for you. As said earlier, its the seller who issues the invoice to the buyers for their domain name sales.

DaaZ issues the invoices to you if in case you are paying the service fee to DaaZ as a buyer. That invoice only covers the service fee amount. One invoice you will get from seller for the price you have paid and another invoice from DaaZ for the service fee you have paid to DaaZ.

Sounds good.
Will Paypal charge a fee when receiving the payment? I think you can choose on Paypal who pays the fees when paying a seller. So it depends on how do you pay the seller, right?

DaaZ cover's PayPal payout fees ( its 2% as we process through PayPal mass payment) - as said earlier no indirect fees to the sellers. We make a loss of 0.5 to 1% for each transaction we process through PayPal on processing fees itself. We may revise this in the future, at least for 2021 this is our fee structure.

Let's say a seller manages to sell a domain for 50 USD, and seller pays the fees. And then the seller chooses to get paid by Paypal. In this case, will the seller receive 50-2.5 = 47.5 USD by Paypal, or will Paypal still take some fees?
That's correct. Seller will get 47.5 USD by PayPal.

We accept domain name push from almost all registrars. Even we handled some of the toughest registrars (e.g: Netsol with 100's of domain pushes in last 3 months time) , even covering some of the toughest ccTLDs too. If there is a specific ccTLD has a restriction and doesn't allow us to accept the domain push , for those special cases we may ask for domain transfer.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Happy to answer them.
