If I cut up logos to create new ones, is this illegal in any way. I am reffering to this logo:

Although it will be phased out of my main site. I am curious, are they any potential legal ramifications I could be liable for. As you can see from my main site, I am using the logo as a promotional tool, and not trying to paint a negative light on the companies in anyway.

I see at least a dozen lawsuits here..... (does that answer your question?)

You can't use copyrighted work in full or part.

You'd need permission from each company you took from. Highly unlikely to be granted, of course.

Cool idea!

I would definetely get permission first though :)

Well, I am actually going to most likely be using a different logo. Someone reffered to this as looking like a 'ransom letter' and so I'm probably going to scrap it.

Thanks for all your input.
