So, i see a lot of talk about the selling of Corona Virus domains names. Mainly from the "Moral" stand point. In my opinion selling Corona Virus domains is no different than selling Drug, Sex or Gambling domains. People say "Oh, what kind of monster would attempt to make a profit from this?" - Well, This guy would <<<. People say it's "Unethical" failing to even understand the meaning of the word. Especially when those same people are selling "WhoreSlaves.Net or Child Porn" domains. I do, however agree with pricing - people trying to sell at 20 and 30K. Now, that is a bit much - and in my opinion a bit greedy. But, to each is own. So, my point is - i will sell, Corona Virus domains, here - there and anywhere else visa, mastercard and paypal is accepted. Because, Neither my "Morals" nor your "non-understanding" is going to pay for my kids needs or my bills in these times. That is all

Thank You

"Especially when those same people are selling "WhoreSlaves.Net or Child Porn" domains"

I'm not going to get into a moral argument about owning these types of names, but you either need to edit/remove this sentence or provide some kind of proof....you have just made a blanket accusation saying that people who will not register or buy "Corona" related names own child porn domains?

I have advocated quite a bit in recent days for one's ability to sell corona names, only because I see limitations on rights in the name of "doing the right thing" a greater evil than any evil that can be perpetuated by selling a corona name.

Those who are on the side of censorship, enjoy this moment. You have the satisfaction of being on the right side this time.

@LaszloSchenk stated that DAN's decision came down when it was discovered that some corona names were listed for six figures. Well, that's a ridiculous asking price, and it surely makes DAN look somewhat accountable to those who aren't familiar with the industry, so they decided to save face. I understand the concern. However, I think @biggie nailed it when he said the proper remedy would be to change all corona listings to Make Offer. Boom. And now the market decides. Because, no developer is going to pay six figs for a corona name. Let the seller be brought back to reality through the wonder of market dynamics.

And agreed. There are plenty of less-noble ways to make money in domaining that are not shunned by the greater community to such a degree as this corona issue. Virtue signaling, one could call it. And again, congratulations to all of you who find yourself on that side of the gate this time. I'm not pro-corona name. I'm anti-gate.

I do agree with the 6 figures being a negative. And for someone to place such a high number - makes them morons. I am one of those guys that speaks his mind, no matter who it upsets. I disagree but also agree with how DAN went about the situation. I believe it was @NickB or @NameDeck that asked/made the most Valid Question/Statement "Why did DAN not notify the sellers of the DAN.com Platform by any means?"
That in my opinion raises a few eyebrows, however, to the point - i Agree because of those greedy moronic prices that people was setting. But, i Disagree, because that can not be the "ONLY" excuse for them removing them. All they had to do was email/contact the sellers or post on the main log-in screen "Hey, dummies - set your Corona Virus Domains to Make Offer or lower the prices - or we will remove them". Instead, they made themselves look stupid by saying "Its Unethical" Really? "Unethical" (Thats why i said, they do not understand that meaning)
Take a look at the 1000's of domain names listed on DAN and then tell me if i am just being uneducated about this whole issue.
However, some view selling Corona domains as wrong other do not. I am one who sees it as a for everyone to win, The Domain Investors, The Bloggers, Web Designers, News Media & The people who want
information.
Now, if someone sees me as wrong, (i dont care) but, if they see it as wrong, think about the fact that if you do not own this domain and sell it or give it away, you are in fact taking away valuable information from the WHOLE WORLD.
