Correct me, please, if I am wrong

I was reading and reading this forum. And, as a newbe trying to understand some points of domain sale, i did some short resume.

If I want to sell domain name by price high XXX and up, here is 2 ways to do it:
A
1. it have to be .com
2. it have to be as short as possible 7-8 char max.
3 it have to contain 1 or 2 words and mean something general and useful in every area.

B.
1. it have to be a nice typo of some famouse web and parked somewhere to give PPC and traffic.

Anything else?

First off Welcome to Np, THere is no guarantee to what will result in a xxx or higher sale. It does not have to be a .com but usually has to be a better name in another ext. Cheapbooks.com will do better than Cheapbooks.info. But books.biz most likely would resuilt in a good sale. Longer names can do well too this is a very subjective business. Find your Niche

Since it is a word it certainly means something! Commonly used words will possiblely be a good domain name! Others maybe worth only a few!IMO
