This contest poll is regarding the rumored 6-figure .US sale recently discussed.

- The voting in the poll will be "public" (your user name will be shown next to your pick) so there is no doubt who voted for what.

Thanks for the reminder. OK, for purposes of this contest only, the domain that was rumored to be changing hands for six figures was....

As of this morning, still no change in the WhoIs, and the owner did not respond to my attempts to contact him, so I don't know if the deal is still on or not. The original info I got was that it would take several weeks to complete (perhaps there were payments involved over a set period of time if the info was accurate). I keep checking the Whois record weekly. I would guess that if it does change hands it is going to be subject to an NDA.

By the way, I voted News.us in the Poll. What do I win.

Very interesting Duke! Thanks for sharing, even though it is not official yet, and may never even occur. For the sake of the .us market I sure hope it goes through though...

I think that sale was last year. The whois record shows that it transfered from a Colorado holder to a Australia reg in 2005.
