This contest poll is regarding the rumored 6-figure .US sale recently discussed.

- The voting in the poll will be "public" (your user name will be shown next to your pick) so there is no doubt who voted for what.

- The vB poll feature only allows 12 choices, so we've narrowed the list to the 12 names that seemed the most popular among the crowd.

- When (and if) the domain name is made public, and if it's included in the poll, the prize pot will be split among the people who voted for that particular name. Easy enough, yes?

I was originally told the deal could take several weeks to complete so I have been keeping an eye on the WhoIs record, but it still has not changed hands. The current owner also has not responded to my attempts to contact him. If the domain changes hands I will let you know the name, though the parties involved may never release the price paid.

Hey Tim, shoot me a PM reminder Friday and I will release the name that is reportedly being sold (still no change in WhoIs today) so that you can at least crown a contest winner. Then everyone can watch the WhoIs to see if it eventually changes. From the get go, word was it would take several weeks to complete (perhaps there were payments involved). Always possible it could fall through in such a scenario too.
